Buffalo Bills 2022 Thread

The "Greats" (thinking Ed Reed) would get the "need" here and rip/roll/whatever that ball into their hands.

We have these players instead. Don't mean to be "that" divisive but is what it is...

Bad take

The secondary weapons have not been good. Knox is MIA for games at a time, we dont seem to know what to do with Mckenzie and Davis has not been the #2 we thought he would develop into. Beckham or not we need to address WR via FA or the draft. The Knox extension already looks suspect
Davis I can understand how he disappears from time to time because he's mostly just a vertical threat/improv guy as Allen buys time and at the best of times those are low percentage plays (which is also why I don't really care about his catch % in general, though he has had a few tough drops this year). There's really no excuse for McKenzie and Knox' disappearing acts with the way that they get used; I just don't think either is a good football player. McKenzie has never been good and I think Knox just had an outlier season last year.

I think its clear that trying to replace Beasley with McKenzie has been a complete failure. Beasley may have been a nut but he was a hell of a slot guy. We need to give Shakir a long look. I also think its clear we need to go after Odelle, its clear as day we need a legit 2.

I also think Beane for as great as a GM as he is ( hes fantastic), RB has become his white whale. We keep making relatively high draft picks and now a trade and we still cant really run the ball unless its Allen. Id give Nyheim some extended looks along with Shakir starting next week

I was BEGGING them to go get Wilson JR from the 49ers when he was made available . He offers a totally different look vs the rest of our backs. Instead we opt for a finesse receiver first RB who doesn’t really bring a different dimension to the team. Not only do we not get him (and I’m pretty sure it’s based on not wanting him) he goes to a division rival and IMMEDIATELY pays dividends. Sometimes it’s not that complicated and making the incremental improvement is the correct one

Oh and he only cost a FIFTH!. Meanwhile we Soend all this high draft capital on completely blah RBs. I’ll never get it .

Zach Wilson with a career high in completion percentage . Congrats Leslie Frazier in letting him feel secure and comfortable. You provided him a nice safe space from which he could develop confidence. Congrats again!!

Why not try Hines in the slot?

I do think that Knox is being left in to block more often than he was last year.

I think it's clear they had big plans for Cook's utilization, but he hasn't developed as quickly as they hoped so they got a more proven guy who will help the passing game.

Think the plan was to replace him with Crowder/McKenzie combo and then also upgrade our receiving back. That plan certainly should have worked but McKissic backed out, Crowder got hurt, McKenzie proved to just be a gadget guy and Cook has been a C+ thus far. Think we all were happy with his plan and maybe still will be once we have a RT back in place that isn't a mess.

I got hit like that from behind while in the process of throwing a hail mary when I was a SR in high school and my arm/elbow didn't get back to feelin normal until about halfway through baseball season. Freaked me out when I saw him start rubbing and flexing it. Then he bombed the one to Gabe 60-70 yards in the air and I was no longer concerned.
Guess I'm re-concerned.

Yeah pretty BROKEN now... did not look good and it's obviously a critical area.

I will get slammed for this, but a client (who’s in the know), is saying that it is in fact a UCL (I.e. Tommy John) injury and that he will be out 5+ weeks.

If that's true, season is clearly over and Josh would should be shut down for the year if he has surgery. I am unclear if this is something he could try and play through until the end of the year and then have surgery.

Hopefully it's the same injury that he had his rookie year. If it's a UCL tear, then this season is over and the next one as well, likely.

He would definitely be back next year if its a UCL tear, your thinking of baseball.

How many NFL QB's have even had Tommy John? The only two I could find were Jake Delhomme and Rob Johnson. I'm not saying he'd miss all of next year, but it wouldn't surprise me if he has a serious elbow injury requiring surgery that he may not be ready to go once the season starts next year.

Dolphins +550 to win the division looking kind of interesting at this point. Would be happy to lose.

Is it still that with these rumors ?

I recall Tanaka having UCL issues forever and yet seemed to avoid surgery.
