Buffalo Bills 2023 Thread

It’s very strange. I always thought he was rather average then some agenda came from on high for announcers to hype him up. Then he went into full tank mode
’best slot corner in the league“

Bills ain’t going to do anything without a running game which means they need an oline that can run block. Right now Josh has to be perfect and/or Superman for them to beat a good team.

Except he's targeted a ton and opposing teams pick on him with TE's. But yeah, he's really good at making tackles for 3-4 yard gains fitting the run as the defacto third linebacker.

Didn't really feel like they gave it much of a chance tonight, in part because they couldn't afford to.

What planet is McDuffus on? In the post game presser FIRST thing he blames is inconsistency in the kicking game ?
He did what?

The punter was below average tonight, but that's probably 30th on the list of things.

So watching the replay of that last play .. the two guys on that side of the field we were relying on to make a stop were the rotting corpse of Vaughn Miller and the calcified corpse of josh Norman.

He didn’t even mention the defense until he was specifically asked about their inability to force turnovers

I don't know that any defense is even remotely decent when they're missing half of the week 1 starters. Think our brains and expectations are out of whack with the current situation. Have legit bums off the street out there right now and gave up 7 less than the 49ers did to them.

I see your point. My argument would be that there HAVE to be more effective options than Norman and injured Miller. I mean better options sitting on couches somewhere.

What would you say it was at BEST? 60-40 Against it being a catch ? Somehow that translates to CHALLENGE by some mouth breather up there
McDermott is a complete idiot. I'm trying to think how many yards would need to be at stake for a 50/50 challenge to be worth it. You need those timeouts! Risking a timeout for the upside of 8 yards is so stupid.

Almost as stupid as not trying a hail mary at the end of the first half.

He's gotta go. The only thing saving him is the same set of geniuses that run the sabres would be the ones picking his replacement.

bills keep drafting running backs early and signing washed up RBs and ignores that all but one of their WR are practice squad guys

If anyone in the Bills FO is intelligent they would make a run at Tee Higgins this offseason to make the Bengals worse and them better simultaneously, but I don't get the feeling they want to spend money on WR's.

Wr2 .. who cares . Build teams from the lines out . With our QB , if we have solid line play on both sides , wr2 shouldn’t be the make or break for us

He's going to get $20m/year and we already have 1 of those. Having 2 of them would be a rough way to spend.

Here's Buffalo's path to the playoffs.

Absolutely zero margin for error in the four remaining home games. Denver, Jets, and Patriots should be manageable wins at home. Dallas will be a handful, but the Bills should be easily favored in that game. This has to be 4-0.

Four brutal road games: at KC, at Philly, at Chargers, at Miami. If they can take just one of these, 10-7 should be a wild card berth. Take two and you're possibly winning the division.

at Chargers is not a brutal game. Unless they get a pick 6 and a goal line fumble recovery every game.

I agree that's the easiest of the four. I'm just factoring in how incredibly flaky the Bills have been on the road all year into the equation.

At Philly is a definite loss. At KC and at Miami are likely losses. Chargers game is definitely the most winnable of the bunch and there should be a sizable Bills fan contingent there. 8 p.m. kick isn't ideal, as it's 11 p.m. our time, but I suppose it's a loser's mentality to be worried about that.

No such thing as a definite loss in the NFL. If the Bills played at Philly today that would be probably somewhere between a field goal and TD underdog tops.

Meh there is this year with this Bills team.
