I second this. Although we did pay good money.I would really temper expectations with this one.
The staff does not even expect much in year one for Siby.
This is definitely not our staring center. We should have another center on the way soon.

So can I. Well…except for the dunk partHe can catch, run and dunk.
Goodman says we're broke thoughI second this. Although we did pay good money.
I thought we were told we have to spend good money though…I second this. Although we did pay good money.
Absolutely/he can pass the ball, dunk, block shots, wow what a concept! - don't judge if you don't know what you're talking about or have a negative opinion in the first place/Gerry's choice!

Siby is likely a new name to many in the United States, but is well known overseas. He has played in various leagues over the last three to four years. During the 2023-24 season in Belgrade, he averaged 12.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.5 block in 25 minutes per game while shooting 65.8% from the floor, 33% from three-point range and 62.8% from the free-throw line. During the 2024-25 season across various Serbian leagues, he averaged 9.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.4 blocks in 22 minutes per game while shooting 64.2% from the floor and 69.2% from the free-throw line. During the 2025-26 season across various Serbian leagues considered to be a higher level than previous years, Siby averaged 3.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.3 steals and 1.1 blocks in 13 minutes per game while shooting 62.5% from the floor and 81.5% from the free-throw line.
Guys you've got to get off this, this didn't happen it was a complete troll video with a made up caption. Goodman didn't say anything about our money the video wasn't even about Syracuse. It was just a moaning sound over the video, it was funny but people need to stop taking that for something realGoodman says we're broke though
Donna Diota said we paid good $ for both international guys. Apparently these were sought after international players across the P4 landscape. Giovny said we had previously targeted mid major level international guys and that was not the case with these 2Good money for Siby?
He most def did when he said that Hodgson wasn't coming here few weeks ago due to money.Guys you've got to get off this, this didn't happen it was a complete troll video with a made up caption. In the era of the transfer portal, it seems odd to pay good money for someone who you don’t expect much from in year 1.I second this. Although we did pay good money.
Womack did, saved him a valuable yearWho redshirts anymore?
Not sure entirely. We payed pretty good for Morano and Siby. People told me these were two guys at a price (I guess unlike Fennell/Majstorovic).In the era of the transfer portal, it seems odd to pay good money for someone who you don’t expect much from in year 1.
yeah that was the plan with jesse edwards...never really know what will happen nowadays...its 1 year cycle foreverI hope he develops and sticks with Orange. We've had to buy a Center each of the last 4 years. That's rough in the current market. Although we have to pay a guy once he develops, it probably alleviates stress on the budget to have a home-grown guy who wants to stay for several years.
Are these all structured as one year deals or is there any incentive that gives SU a leg up to retain them after this season? Not sure entirely. We payed pretty good for Morano and Siby. People told me these were two guys at a price (I guess unlike Fennell/Majstorovic).
Part of it might be setting a pipeline with agents. Also, if anyone cares, Blunt was responsible for this one too it sounds like.
givony is the best in the business. if he knows about you, you have something. he doesn't track duds. You have
He'll reach out and grab yaAbra"cadabra"mane Siby
I liked that guy toits Siby not Sidibe
Just not his potato kneesI liked that guy to
Unfortunately seems like everything operates on a one year basis. Even when they are signed for multi-year.Are these all structured as one year deals or is there any incentive that gives SU a leg up to retain them after this season?
