Or maybe we are not regarded as a program that develops Bigs. At some point its not about the bag, about this or that. Its about SU not being able to successfully recruit Centers.
We absolutely develop ALL of our players. Our problem has been recruiting a little bit more "talented" big guys. We havent done a great job at getting the bigs that will help us the most. But they have definitely developed and improved playing for us. Developing kids that are coming in that arent so much of a project helps out tremendously. We have lacked a bit with bringing in the type of talent we need from the get go at the 5 spot to work with and develop so it already puts us behind the 8 ball. Theres plenty of examples of bigs that we have developed including guys currently on our roster. Sidibe has absolutely gotten better. Hes just limited.

I don’t think developing bigs is the problem. It’s how we use them. JB doesn’t look for post up bigs, but bigs who can be successful on the defensive end.

There was more to the convo that I didnt feel the need to share. But that was his reply. Seemed like a good thing but then again I doubt hes going to tip his hand to someone he doesnt know. Regardless, I think a decision is near.
