Cal Postgame...

Other than the loss to Stanford, this team has excelled. Beat NC State on the road. Beat VT. Beat Cal on
the road. Tough loss to BC on the road. Beat a good GT team. McCord is one of the most valuable players in the ACC. Where would we be without him?
Yeah, 2 conference road wins and a really solid win at UNLV is pretty rare for us.

The Cal fans DO NOT think they’re going bowling after today. They were down right defeatist today.

I legit feel sad for them. It's really not a bad team and their 5-5 isn't all that far off 7-3 or 8-2. We've been there too.

edit: And their Miami lol. That game was late, I was dozing off and figured it was safe to fall asleep with maybe a minute or two left comfortably knowing Cal got the upset. When I woke up the next morning and people were talking about the Miami win I thought I was being gaslit.

Wow I know Stanford won today but Cal just needs to beat them to go bowling. Seems like a good chance

I thought so too. Sat next to a season ticket holder of over 30 years today. He said all the actual football fans want Wilcox gone and seem ok missing a bowl game to do so. Seems very Dino-esque.

That is indeed quite Dino-esque. I think he is a pretty solid coach, interesting to hear that from a longtime season ticket holder

I think if someone gave me a bottle of Old Spice, I'd be mildly offended. I doubt anyone under the age of 30 uses it, so giving me that would be like a subtle way of saying "you're old". About the only thing worse would be Grey Flannel since I don't think many people under 65 use that anymore.
Fran is 42. :)

I like Old Spice

You must not watch a lot of commercials lately promoting Old Spice Bodywash.

I could see a potential NIL deal. ;)

Agree. Everyone was very nice. Someone at a concession stand told me he was impressed by all our fans and we traveled well from “NJ.” I had to tell him we’re actually from NY. He apologized lol

If it wasn’t for pumped in noise it was like playing a neutral site. I’m sure it can get loud when crowded but wasn’t that way today. Just a beautiful day and made all that much better with a win surrounded by some great Orange fans.
Agree. I’d say 25K fannies in the seats. 5K were Orange. We sat in (moved to actually) the student section which were the primo seats on the sunny side. They were mellow as can be. Zero face paint.

Bleacher seating mostly. Old-fashioned WWI stadium w/some upgrades. Great campus experience. Even met Marlowe Wax’s mom and grandma walking to the stadium. Good folks from Baltimore as were one of my friends. Great stuff.

I watched the first half on DVR later and listened to some

What a difference the OL changes made

Very happy with the win but also frustrated those changes took longer than they should've

Cal really stunk it up. Only loss of the year that wasn't really close

Fwiw overhead some old head Cal fans after the game say this was Mendoza's worst game of the season.

I'd like to think we had something to do with that.

Easily the best game our Oline has played this year. Remember when the undersized Ohio Dline was making plays and we couldn’t get a push in the run game. Clean pocket for McCord, pretty much all game, awesome! And it comes from putting in players with multiple years of eligibility left!

How about a little love for Davien (who’s he?) Kerr. Terrifically athletic interception in 1st quarter.
