Good call. Physical attributes over stat lines.Carlos is a 22 year old SR PG.
The way he ran down the corner to get doubled like that…repeatedly….oh and he’s 5 foot nothing…was mind boggling.
Really showed that his skill allowed him to play that mid major level (dribbling through presses or beating traps with shorter players) but he really just doesn’t translate at all up a level. Cant make this mistake in the portal again
100%. One step further. Need them to click with the frosh and can be ready to go day one. Thinking back to the Eddie stuff, getting Carlos late. Also with Taylor and Davis I wonder if they had any idea what their role would even be. Everything was late and then more late.Yes the majority of the NIL budget needs to go to a veteran leader PG and we are going to have to overpay to get him to come to Syracuse. Then get a defensive rim-running center who can set screens and block shots. Not the other way around hopefully Red has learn his lesson this offseason and changed his mind on those early million dollar center reports
I'm calling bs on that. It's one thing to watch one of these from the start. I did, but it took an assorted variety of alcoholic beverages and a couple gummies. However, you're claiming you went to your dvr and watched it again?? No way. Just no way.I rewatched and didn't think so.
I watched the first minute and last minute of the game. So can someone explain to me if this was a case of SU winning or Cal losing?
I see that Cal shot 29% overall and 6 for 35 from three. That's mind numblingly awful. Did we cause much of that, or were they open looks that they simply missed?
They were afraid of McLeod when he played in the first half. Guess a 7’4” guy looming seemed to intimidate them. He blocked one shot and they were done challenging him. His screens on offense impressed me. He held still till they bit on it waiting to roll to the basket. Guards must have liked his screens up top. Once no Cal player switched on him when he rolled to the basket and the pass shocked him, he bobbled it but thankfully regrouped and made the shot.He certainly does on D
