next man up...a tough blow but doesn't derail our season. I get why some people think the season is over already though, we've seen that movie before.

Some people are idiots, the only time a single injury has derailed us is QB injury. Not saying this doesn’t matter but again, true freshmen WRs, 5 star included, don’t usually make a major impact. I feel bad for Calvin, the team will be ok if Angeli is ok and/or Odom is the real deal

He has a strong support system around him. He also has Steve, who is dealing with a major injury too, so that should help. Fran will be there for him throughout the recovery process and help keep him motivated and focused. With modern medicine, injuries like this are no longer viewed as career-ending.

We do have talent in the room. Seemed like Calvin was looking great in practice, but I think there’s more than enough talent in the room to keep everything on the right track. As long as Steve is healthy we’re in good shape. I am incredibly deflated by the news however.

Multi year contracts don’t prevent a player from transferring out after a year. Player can leave anytime they want during the contract whether it’s 1 year or multiple years.

Again, nobody knows if he would or wouldn’t transfer. It’s a fools errand discussing it especially in the NIL era as well as hypothesizing it’s going to somehow make his connection to the school/Fran stronger and unbreakable.

Either way. A multi year contract doesn’t tie any player to a school for those years. That’s the topic I replied to and just providing the info. Multi year contract is irrelevant to any topic involving whether a player may/may not enter the portal at some point.
