So it’s an acceptable risk to get hurt playing for a statistical record but not playing for a victory with your teammates. Glad Cam plays for “The U.”

This was the epitome of the whole don't risk playing in a bowl thing. All about selfishness. He played just enough snaps until it wasn't worth it for HIM anymore.

What's arguably even worse are the fans who support such behavior, I'm not sure why they think this is a good thing.

The loss is all on Miami coach. He has end of the game clock management problem. Iowa State cannot stop Miami running game. All he had to do is to let Iowa score the touchdown on 2 minute warning. Then he would have plenty of time to advance to field goal range in that 2 minutes. Instead, there was too little time left and had to force the third rate QB throw the ball in the hurry. He lost the game the same way he lost the Syracuse game.

I agree, I think it is selfish. He hadn’t been sacked all game. I have a feeling that Sanders and Hunter do the same tonight.

Also, there was an article a couple days ago that mentioned they took out the largest insurance policy ever for Sanders and Hunter before their game today.

If he’d just opted out entirely nobody would’ve cared. I haven’t heard anyone talking about Restrepo sitting. I think Cam actually hurt his draft stock playing well for half as it shows priorities.

I think it’s a bit like screwing up a relay handoff in an attempt to get a record split. They had to play two different game strategies with and without him, and despite that only lost by one point. Entirely possibly they prep better and win that if he just sat. Almost a certainty they win it if he played the whole thing.

I don't believe that. It's something that NFL teams will question him about, but they won't just cross him off if they believe he is the best fit for their team. That is all it comes down to.
