Yep, it's been thundering and lightening the last 12 hours here in Houston and looks like it's head East. Needless to say I won't be very happy if it hits and cancels our game after spending so much money to get there.

Good for you and your awesome trip. the BC and Boise fans have yet to get a proper explanation which is BS BC has taken care if their fanbase with creditsat moving forward nice job

Orange everywhere. . See what I can do.
Hah... Most of the swag had been taken... Beads, glasses, large S go Orange table cards...

Team is getting police escorts, with police cars flying 4 Syracuse flags from all windows. The whole hotel is orange, and the team has meetings In the orange ballroom..(for reals)

All very cool. They earned it.

LA Tech didn't turn down the game. They delayed an answer hoping for a better deal. The bowl went with Ohio U and LA Tech never got another offer. Damn fools. :p
The Independence Bowl is a good bowl. Who did they think they were? What a bad decision, too bad for players and fans. See what greed can do.

Asking someone to step into a P5 coaching job when they have never coached is asking a lot.

Plus, he has his foundation to run. He's doing good work.
In what sense? He’s played at the highest levels in college and as a professional. That translates well. Not like he’d be the head coach.

In the sense that I'm sure the number of coaches at the P5 level who have never coached at any level before taking a P5 job (not even HS), is very, very, very, very small.

Right, now were these coaches you speak of NFL players? I think that goes along way in this. If you’re just talking about some dude off the street I get it but I think it’s a little different with guys that played in the NFL that want to coach. Again not saying walking in and being a head coach but a position coach why not.

Don't care. I am saying the universe of people who step into P5 coaching jobs without ever having been a coach ANYWHERE is minuscule. Have at it. I'm obviously not going to change your mind. But it just doesn't happen.

You're not and there’s a ton of basketball benches filled with coaches that played but had no prior coaching experience at any level.

Aren't we talking football here?

Name me 5, no, two P5 football position coaches who had absolutely no coaching experience before getting a P5 job.

Now, granted, if there are any (and there may well be), it would most likely be at their alma mater, so you've got that going for you, which is good. :)

Edit - man, there's a lot of commas in my last sentence.

It's more likely to find NFL guys coaching JUCO or High School than at a P5 program.

Was sitting by the pool and saw this big kid and I was like who is that I know most of the kids ... it was Hendrix ...kid looks the part for sure

Yeah, we saw him and Ravian yesterday by the hoops court. (My buddy & I were building a wall with all the bricks we were putting up. )
They were just chilling and walking the grounds.

Didn’t recognize Ed Hendrix, but saw he was #18 (and clearly not Scoop) so I looked him up.

Agreed - he very much passes the eye test.
Looks like he’s been spending a lot of quality time w Coach E. He’s pretty chiseled.
