Actually, I believe Julius Hodge was on the board before Hakim. He was the primary recruiting target.

that was the talk when i originally logged into the old forum 1st time . before that i had been limited to the somewhat weekly mailings of the BIG EAST BRIEFS to follow recruiting. how excited i'd get to see that little pamphlet in the mail. thought back on it as i watched the felipe lopez piece this week. he was a prime target back then. and there was talk of kobe to villanova. news was slower in those days. but i remember following the commitments and signings of syracuse and the league before the internet made everything instant news.
