Cashman has done a good job this year in two areas

He has added some good players with not that much given up and just as important is that he is getting rid of the deadwood on the current and 40 man roster. All this is in preparation for the inclusion of some very important farm players who will be elevated to both those rosters next year. Mat Daily has been put on the DFA today and probably will be released if he isn't claimed or wanted by anyone He won't be the last to go in that direction. If Hill doesn't show up well soon he might be the next name pulled out of the hat for assignment.

Daley was DFA'd back in April, and nobody claimed him.

If he clears waivers again he'll end up back in Scranton.
