CBA Football

They have the best recruiting budget. They seem to end up with the best players from Section III.

While CBA gets better every year, J-D and -M suck.
Are they playing on level playing fields? Doesn’t CBA actively recruit kids? Not trying to be a jerk. I don't really know.

You can recruit here in Florida for high school football.

Seems crazy that the Cuse just offered 4 more CBA kids. Has to create a buzz here in Syracuse and encourage NYS football in general.
Who did they offer? I have a buddy who's kid plays there.

CBA is now 7-0. They just beat the third best CNY team Liverpool 42-10, they beat CBA Albany 42-9... They've scored on average 45+ pts a game. Im a Huge fan of Jhadon Gary the kid is special. Outside of Isaiah Coleman and Khalil Cox, the team is Juniors or younger. This team might be the best CNY team Ive watched in a While.

They recruit all the best players from all the local HS’s. They should be this good. It’s an all star team not a HS team.

There’s a reason that back in my high school days we had the phrase “Can Buy Athletes” and put them on shirts
Back in my day (I think we're around the same year), most of the CBA football players went there from 7th grade on, and went their naturally (either lived nearby or the whole family went there). There were certainly recruits, but only a few on the team (maybe 2-3 per class). Seems there are a ton more "recruits" on these CBA teams now. Some come from other parts of the state, allegedly...

In my day…80s era, they were a non factor. Honestly didn’t know they played football. RFA, Lpool, Bville ruled the roost (well till 88 when we (WG) smacked rfa in the sec 3 title game). I think it was mid 90s when they figured out what they could do and it took some time but they built a powerhouse for sure.

What was that WG quarterback's name?

I talked to the principal at JD about a month ago. He said that there’s a Cuse commit at CBA who was a JD kid. The kid told him that he could come back to JD after football season is over. The principal told him that he might as well stay at CBA.
JD hoops used to have kids that didn’t live in the JD district. Bernard Blunt, for one.
