CDRW transferring to Marshall

He’s beaten Eastern Kentucky, beat Old Dominion, beat Middle Tennessee, and lost to Louisiana. Good to see he’s been balling out against much lower competition but let’s pump the breaks on acting like we lost a diamond in the rough here.
For the record, Old Dominion destroyed VT this season….

If these numbers hold up for the full season he'll get some NFL attention.

I'm not saying he'll get drafted. But he'll get a look.

who is Marshall's biggest rival ? Target ?
WVU (Friends of the Coal Bowl), App State (Old Mountain Feud), East Carolina, and Ohio (Battle of the Bell).
But I see what you did there :D

I don't believe that the drop in competition is the only reason for his success. Marshall is still a decent program. People act as if he's playing for Ithaca College now

Could be he's finally locked in and learned to watch film properly, work properly, etc. and is reaping rewards as such. Bit of a last chance corral type situation going from sec to acc to non p4 and as a new father perhaps added urgency and maturity happened? 100% conjecture here but reasonable enough and happy for him regardless

It also goes to show, how you sometimes you need to give QB's a bit more PT before they get it. He really hasn't played all that much. He played 2 full games in 2022, one full game in 2023 along with some other spot duty. None in 2024.

I do find it interesting that he is so accurate this season. I mean the dude is at 76.4% completions. I don't remember seeing that when he was here.
I respect what you’re saying. But in that one game in 2023, when the writing was on the wall and Dino was coaching for his job, CDRW went out and had maybe the worst performance by an SU QB ever in the Dome, 7-17 with 4 INTs against a mediocre BC team. It would be hard for anyone in that moment to give him more chances.

I was at the 2022 game @Pitt and CRDW was worse that day than the BC game. It was painfully obvious from his time here that he was not a major college QB. No vision, inaccurate arm, poor decision maker and did nothing when he ran the ball.

I’m not even saying we should have given him more time or that I would have. I mean a change of scenery and a couple years more maturity can make a bit of a difference. And obviously not all guys will eventually get there with more time. He just seems to be one who apparently has.

Marshall may be a decent program, but no one can reasonably deny that their schedule is at least one level below ACC strength, and maybe more.

Now four turnovers on a CDRW fumble. Yikes

And people on this forum were hyping him up😂😂😂

Won’t do it again 👍 still learning how things work on here what’s e can and can’t say I will learn from this. The kid obviously isn’t trash I was just talking about the game but I won’t do that again .
Thank you.

It's just a pet peeve of mine - kids aren't garbage, kids don't suck, etc. They're kids.

Of course kids can play awfully, they can have a terrible game, they may not be a P4 player, etc. That's all fine. It happens.

Glad to see CDRW is starting somewhere and putting up some decent games minus yesterday. Happy for the kid but I'd much rather roll with an unproven freshman than get mediocrity from CDRW.
