I’ve only watched some highlights and never seen him play live, but would KR be a fair comparison skill set wise? Big guard who can be a disruptive defender and force turnovers, handle it, pass, and get to the basket and finish - smooth but not an above the rim guy.
Accurate or nah?
More athletic than KR - more of a slasher. Dion Waiters-ish.
Boing oing oing oing
Not quite the explosive athlete Dion was/is but a better passer. Don’t want to oversell lol.
I like the fire and confidence he plays with too. Need guys like that.I hope Copeland sticks he has a crazy amount of talent. Its raw but his skills are special
Westry at Auburn looked noticeably bigger and less athletic than in this highlight. I hope he's fully healed up and in shape for next season.
I don’t think it’s that hot. I think that’s a legit possibility.Hot take: if Judah returns, we have the most talented backcourt in the ACC.
If we play with three guards most of the time, that's 120 minutes split among 5 guys. There are minutes for all five of them, especially if we press and run and gun. They'll be happy to go in and out.Oh I completely agree. But it’s still a crowded backcourt.
Is Gavin Griffiths opening his recruitment? All this talk about Jesse and Slater I half expect to see a Screech reference in this thread.
I’d use the word smooth to describe him. Great vid.

E a lot of similarities of frosh year Cope and and frosh year Scoop. Raw, mistake prone and a couple of years of hard work away from becoming a stud. Frankly, Cope has the potential to be better. I hope he has the patience to develop. I can see him getting the keys to the Caddy after another year of experience. Hope he develops his pg skills.I hope Copeland sticks he has a crazy amount of talent. Its raw but his skills are special
And a playet who has actually defeated Colgate!Great to see us returning to having an athletic squad that can play both ends. Really need to add one of the athletic bigs we’re targeting now.
