Chancellor announcement timeline?

I know there has been a lot of smoke about the next Chancellor at Syracuse already being at the school. Seems like that chatter started within the last 3-4 weeks.

Anyone have a timeline for the announcement? I know Syveurd is staying to the end of the year. But it would be nice for an announcement to happen. Because I would assume it would impact the AD hiring process.

I’m just very hesitant on the process of hiring a chancellor, to hire an AD, to then fire and hire the new basketball coach.

I saw what Wildhack said. But I really have a hard time believing coaches would want to sign up to come to Syracuse without knowing who their boss will be.

Not an insider at all but i think all three announcements come quick. Done by April.
None of this is unexpected. I have to think/hope our school has a plan in place. I need this to turn out like they had a plan in place ...please have a plan in place.

I believe Syverud said he was staying until a new Chancellor is named and then go to Ann Arbor.

So there is a tentative date and it’s most likely the in house guy as others have alluded too. So that makes me feel a little better about the AD Search.

If it is Mike Haynie I'd guess ADJW's retirement & Autry's future has been coordinated with him. I noticed he was at the last 2 home basketball games.

So Haney with Whitman ties is Chancellor and Paulus with Whitman ties becomes AD - I would not be disappointed in that.

So, when we see the first burst of Orange smoke, does that mean the committee is ready to name a Chancellor, an AD, or a new MBB coach? Will we see three burst of smoke or one big puff? Hopefully the school is prepared to properly communicate all of this.

Mike Paulus. Now at Whitman, but was in the athletic department and started the Legacy Fund and got the Lally Donations. Greg's brother. But apparently very saavy in athletic fundraising.
