Really? They have been a peer program for some time with a solid HC who hired a good assistant away from Syracuse, it does happen. Standard operating procedure really, assistants come and they go for 10,000 different reasons and most times we have no idea why.

Cignetti was Pitt OC last year AND 2009. 2 years. False narrative (with some sarcastic overemphasis thrown in for fun). Hale says “in that role with current school”

Edit: also, while true as a “consecutive years of tenure” for Cignetti as well as Anae, it’s a little off in that Anae clearly knows the league and this will be his 8th consecutive year as an OC in the ACC. All good, just a wrinkle to the list I thought was not necessarily considered.
