Hey guys, someone tell Dino he's got the same budget and program perception as Alabama! Not sure why we haven't already filled the open offense position with Jim Harbaugh.

Comparing Alabama to Syracuse is like comparing a Ferrari to a Ford Pinto.

He is not implying the programs are equal. He is pointing out that everybody loses coaches.

I was at the games watching. I saw Anae turn away from Dino many times on the sidelines during the season when Dino was trying to talk to him about something. I saw him wave his hand, like "leave me alone with that" a couple times in key points where Anae was about to call a play in the red zone.

Before any of us "knew" that Anae was leaving, Wildhack made that odd comment about whether or not Anae would be back. He made a lateral move in the same league, not even to an SEC or Big 10 team.

It's my opinion, but it's based on my observations, not just reading articles online.

You seem to not understand that being an assistant at Alabama, or Clemson or Georgia is a ticket to a head coaching job somewhere else. Syracuse is hardly that kind of "cradle of coaches", at least not for the last 30 years.

But Alabama losing coaches is the norm. They'll just go reload with the most recently flamed out NFL head coach. The top programs always lose coordinators to head coaching jobs, and that is their norm. It's not the norm at Syracuse to lose both coordinators in one year, plus one (maybe now two) of your top recruiters.

And O’Brien is interviewing (perhaps akin to the scenario in play for Chip West and WFU) for the a coordinator gig with the Patriots. Step up? Perhaps. Likely. But remember, he’s been an NFL HC.

As stated above, for the uninformed naysayers, just about everyone is losing coaches these days. With very few exceptions. SU included. We’re like everyone else and Wildhack/Dino have done wonders to safeguard us from have toothless coordinators, like we used to have.

I hope Chip West does not leave, but if so, his seat will be filled with someone that Rocky endorses. I am good with that. And everyone here should be too.

You made a very specific assertion . you didn’t offer anything to support your assertion, now you are just throwing out observations that tend towards anae being an insubordinate ahole.

I saw them once, 100% would mean one of them is not being honest. Nobody that thinks is 100% with someone else. I saw them having discussions a few times which I assume some people call arguments.

I like JR but the 100% take is pretty hilarious… id say if they agreed 80% of the time, thats pretty freaking awesome.

I'll leave this alone after this. I watched the 2 of them interact for over 20 hours last year, from 20 feet away. Do you think if you sat someplace watching people interact for that long, in any context (business meeting, school, sports practice), that you would have an impression of whether or not two people got along?

It's too bad you didn't watch the games.

It was a good year for home games. We went 5-2 in the Dome. We lost to an FSU team that finish ranked 10th or 11th in the country and a ND team that finished 18th in the country.

Your seat even at 20 feet away is still a seat on the outside of reality.

Outside of recruiting there are zero insiders willing to share any information and half the time they get attacked for what they share. 80% of this thread isn’t even about Chip West. What are we doing here?
