I couldn’t have possibly been more wrong about his career progression. I thought he had the potential to turn into a Shumpert-type player.

Crazy thing is there was no progression from sophomore to junior year. If anything there was regression.

He improved on offensive going to the basket, getting to the free throw line, and getting mid-range looks.

But Bell is one of the guys where it's ok to not give him credit for anything, so it is what it is.

Best of luck to Chris after his So. year I was expecting him to have a big Jr. year unfortunately it did not happen. So 2 down with more to follow Mr Klein will be very busy the next few weeks let’s hope we have a great portal haul and our incoming freshman are as good as advertised. And our coaches improve significantly.

I’m happy to blame the staff for a lot but I don’t think Bell falls on them.

It's going to start to fall on them (from the perspective of many) if Bell puts up numbers next year.

And he probably will depending on where he lands.

It must have been tough being so far from home and everyone you played with your first two years bailed. He stayed and tried to make it work, even accepting a demotion to the bench. No ill will for him at all. Hope he finishes his career strong.

Despite the things that he improved on, his offensive metrics went down because he couldn’t make shots.

I've never been a fan of Bell as a player. But, I felt he tried this year. I think what he lacks is urgency. He has no dawg in him. This team is not tough. We need to bring some players in that will hold the others accountable and insist on playing defense.

I see him ending up a P4 program. Some team will want his shooting and think they can hide his defense. Don’t think it will be a winning program, but some program will.

I see it as he regressed due to there being less talent around him. Judah, Jesse, and even Q got him a lot of open looks; which is necessary for a statue of a shooter.

I get this sentiment. But I am going to try to be optimistic until we see next year's team play. We have the same coach, but we have Kline, more money, and hopefully a better grasp on what will work Hopefully we do much better in the portal this year, and hopefully Red has learned a few things. I might be Charlie Brown trying to kick a field goal with Lucy holding, but its optimism or doom, so I'm choosing optimism.

Unfortunately defense and rebounding are kind of important. Those two aspects have been plaguing this program for most of the last decade.
