Clemson ticket sales at the moment.

The most people I have seen at a game in recent memory was the Minnesota game where Eric Decker dominated us. It was the Marrone home opener and Paulus debut. At times it was deafening and made me wish that we could average around 45k for ACC games.

I honestly believe that a close to filled dome would be arguably the best home field advantage in the conference.

Yeah, they announced over 48k for that Minnesota game. That was the first time that I had fun at a football game in awhile, at the time. There was a definite buzz in the air before that game, and it got really loud when we were rolling in the 2nd quarter and went into halftime with the lead.

The loudest the dome has ever been in all the games I've been to. That is kind of sad on my part too, lol. But literally, at the end of the 1st half my ears were starting to hurt. The area I was in was loud as hell. That was a fun game, except for the 1st snap over Paulus' head, got pretty quiet when that happened.

Not sure about that. I thought all tix were the same price that year and the following season they started the addition of the donation when the number of donors kept decreasing.

I am positive. My Grandfather spent $200 for tix for my wife and her friend. They went on sale less than a week later.

You werent at the last WVU dome game?

I'm confused then. Maybe they were tix that SU holds back or something. The preseason article is still on their site that says individual tix for all games were $38. Doesn't matter, we are where we are. The only way to fix the attendance problem besides winning is to fix the donation structure or figure how to sell more preferred season tixs.

The loudest crowd I can recall was against Florida in the early 90's. Gators came in undefeated & ranked #2. Kirby Dar Dar took the opening kickoff to the house & the crowd never let up all day. Turned out to be an easy win, something like 35-13. I remember the shocked look of Gator fans leaving the dome that day.

Do you know what the attendance was for WVU in 2011? i remember it looking good and sounding good on television but not sure on the number. thought it was like 45k.

45,265 announced. Maybe more like 41,000 in the seats. But that was a loud crowd - everyone who was there wanted to be there.

Clemson will NOT bring 5k. Im pretty sure the most visitors we have ever had in the dome was in the 4k range outside of penn st a few years back. Clemson doesnt travel that well outside of their typical 5 hour range.

Have a lot of experience with Clemson fans and their travel habits? I will say for sure Clemson will bring a crowd. Watch the first away game at Boston College and you will see what I mean. TONS of orange in the stands. I want to say we brought 15k to that game. Some are likely holding back due to kick time being unknown. I would expect a last minute ticket sales surge once kick time is announced. We may not bring 15k but I would put money on 5k plus.

Surprised there's not an approximate count on Clemson tickets sold. And how many buses are coming?

Attendance is as important as sales. Top half of section 301 has been no more than 20% full first 2 weeks, but in trying to get an extra ticket last week, I know nearly all those empty seats were sold.

Not just about sales...

Someone said earlier 80 buses but I haven't heard from our end. That number plus those of us who find our own way to the game should make for a nice crowd.

I thought Minnesota was the game that we set up a booth at the state fair and just threw all the available tickets up in the air. Which explains the 48k number. And it was a fairly legit count of bodies in the building. Place was packed, lines to get in were a nightmare.

us should lie about the game time. If kickoff is 3:30 tell everyone it's at 2:30.

Interesting point. I wonder if I wouldn't have cared either if 6 games for a pretty low number vs 20 something hockey games that I got.

I understand why you were annoyed by the discrepancy. As an alum I always looked at my season tix as part of my donation to SU, so the differential never bothered me. For a pro team I'd probably think a little differently.

Man, I wish some of you were around for the 90s. There were a dozen totally rockin', ear-splitting games back then.

Florida '91, Miami '92/'96/'98, Oklahoma '94, VaTech '98, etc. From '92 through '99 I think the lowest announced crowd was 42K. Fun times.

Not on the sideline of the 3rd level. Iirc the tix were $90 each after fees and such. I'll try to call him later today. He probably still has the receipts.

I remember so vividly because I listened to him tell me the stories of how he was going to give up his 20 yr + season tix over the move they pulled on him.

Curious how many tickets that might be. Also, does anyone actually sit in the tops family section?
I confess, we sit on the Family section. Four seats and parking for $75. Can't beat it. As we've said many times, there's not a bad seat in the Dome.

I'll laugh if he still has the receipt. Must be the article was only talking non preferred seats when it says seats are $38 all year.

he's an accountant... you know how odd those cats are.

right texascpa?

My wife and I have $99 season tickets. The rest or our row is still available for purchase on ticketmaster. I am selfishly hoping the game sells out with the exception of our row.

Nebraska game for me. Opening kickoff set the tone.

two loudest Miami the gedney stopped at the 3 game and the Mcnabb farewell rout several close but those were the 2 loudest

My family will be there. Clemson travels pretty well so I expect to see a lot of us there. My family and I are very excited to make our first trip to upstate NY and hope to visit Niagara Falls sometime next weekend. I have to admit I'm a little nervous. I was a student back in 1996 and was at the Gator Bowl game where you all trounced us.

You never heard the PA actually say Donovan's name. It was awesome.
