not completely comparable, but I had Atlanta Thrashers tickets for 4 years. you get to know the core group of ticket holders around you. by the fourth year, it was very clear that a large share of our section was made up of folks who got deals/giveaways. we really felt like suckers, overpaying by probably 50%+ what we could get our seats for. finally didn't renew and would use stubhub to get tix to any game i wanted for about 1/10th face value. they left town about 3 years later. if there's not demand, there needs to be some incremental value of being a season ticket holder.
I'm sure this has been pointed out but most times people try to estimate attendance based on this kind of Ticketmaster math they're off by 10K.
That being said, I can't see this game not getting at least 45K in the building.
You must be new to the area, or are just not that bright. We do not have a good fan base, especially when it comes to traveling. The fans we have at away games typically live near there. No one that roots for Clemson lives in syracuse LOL.
This is no secret to anyone. We have die hards, sure, but our students and the community as a whole is all about basketball.
its ok that you have your opinion, we are all entitled to one. But man are you way off on this one LOL.
I could not agree more.Does anyone really ask those seated around them whether they have season tickets or how much they shelled out to buy that game's ticket? I know I don't. I could care less. I care about my seat. If I look around and the joint is full, I'm happy. Don't care how they do it or what price they charge. If you think you can get a better deal by waiting for the season to start and buy individual tickets, then have at it. But you risk losing the seat you like. It's called supply and demand.
I know that they did it vs Minnesota (marrones 1st home game)
It's going to be interesting to see how many tickets are sold by Monday night once everyone finds out the start time. I am still holding out hope for an 8:00 kickoff so we have a drunk and rowdy student section!!!!1st - 545
2nd - 996
3rd - 4,274
This equates to 43,435 sold.
It is showing that a lot of tickets sold today. Is it time to start getting excited? 'Cuz I'm getting pretty pumped. Maybe people got paid today and bought up some tickets or the box office decided to block off some more. I don't know, but they are scattered on the third level so it leads me to believe people bought some.
I never dreamed that the upper deck middle seats were $150 when the seats 10-15 yds over were $50 until this ticket master thing came about.. if they were priced better the would sell more no doubt.
As we get closer to the game you will be surprised at just how many of those seats will be bought and filled by the time kickoff is signaled.I never dreamed that the upper deck middle seats were $150 when the seats 10-15 yds over were $50 until this ticket master thing came about.. if they were priced better the would sell more no doubt.
I'm a fellow 319er. Lots of room at Tulane game. Liked the little kids screaming. They are the future and got to see the Orange do well.
The time will not come out until Sunday. It has already been announced. it has NOTHING to do with Syracuse University, the Syracuse AD, nor the Syracuse marketing department.
Please, no more complaints about it. Feel honored that TV cares enough about this game for it to be up in the air for the best slots.
here is what they should do.. what ever section you buy season tickets for you get some kind of dibs to buy extra seats in unsold areas after the season tickets are released. the more you pay up front the better seats you can buy later at a reduced rate. now you have rewarded the long time or multi seat buyers with a special incentive.
now those people have a reason to pay the upfront cost but can also have first shot at those prime locations and they have the choice of letting them go to others at reduced rates if they pass on the games.
Interesting point. I wonder if I wouldn't have cared either if 6 games for a pretty low number vs 20 something hockey games that I got. That being said, I wasn't in a preferred section but I never really cared if they were running a promotion and the guy near me paid less than I did.
And that doesn't count hold backs...realistically I think we are at 42k sold right now...my guess is 46k at kickoff...hope I'm low.I just did a count I came up with 5994 seats available on ticketmaster for the game(math could be off a few here and there)

Regardless will be one of the best game day crowds in 10-12 years.

What tickets might they be holding back at this point? Just curious because the Wake seating chart is wide open by comparison.
They have many secions set aside for Clemson. Will they sell out their sections? Also, things like Empower.
That's another holdback...I imagine it will be full though if we get a 3:30pm kickoff...most of the kid's activities will be over by then so parents can get their kids to the game.Curious how many tickets that might be. Also, does anyone actually sit in the tops family section?
