Iwish we would nuke it...Well, now that it's a thread here I'm sure it will pop up on Syracuse.com...

When watching the replay (for me) of the LaTech game, I saw that during the first time out Boeheim shoved Trevor and was very angry. I was shocked, because I don't know if I have ever seen him get physical with a player before. Trevor certainly came alive during that game, though! I didn't bring it up to the board because it seemed - I don't know - negative. But today someone at work asked me about it and wondered what our board thought? I said, "I don't know! " If this was discussed, I missed the entire thread, and so apologize.
But I thought I would ask: what was that about? Does anyone know?
that's what I saw, too. TC didn't seem to be bothered by it in the moment, and he responded with his best overall game of the season (not that it necessarily had anything to do with The Contact).I noticed it too, though it seemed more a getting his attention shove/tap as it was to the back of his shoulder. I think Trevor nodded his head right after to whatever Boeheim was saying, from what I remember.
Not even close to the Woody Hayes incident.
That was my reaction, too. The Woody Hayes reference here was bizarre. He punched a Clemson player, for gosh sakes.I noticed it too, though it seemed more a getting his attention shove/tap as it was to the back of his shoulder. Well, I was a little worried about that, too, but I think all the reactions have been fine. Because I honestly wanted to know what people who know a lot think! Bees gave a very specific answer which I didn't understand at all, but I appreciated it. I also didn't think the shove was that bad, but it was out of character, and I was wondering.Ugh... I already dread where this thread will lead...
I think he should try it with a couple other guys after those results.. . . . . I thought it was more of a grab and not a big deal.
It's not you or others opinions on here I worry about... It's people that read here with deep bottles of ink...bballbeadle said:Well, I was a little worried about that, too, but I think all the reactions have been fine. And I don't think syracuse.com monitors us for news, but I understand people feeling slightly paranoid. Anyone who knows me knows: 1. I love JB, 2. I don't look for trouble. Thanks, guys!

I noticed it, was surprised by it, but it didn't really bother me. I have been pushed and shoved much more vigorously by coaches.
Do the sports writers not watch the games and truly rely on us for news? Should I copyright my craft? Is ESPN waiting in the wings to run a story a day after the PS, because they also aren't privy to what happened in plain sight? I know our standards for media have dropped much like the standards of healthcare and education, but these type of stories are one thing the media seems pretty good at being on top of. If I were a betting person, judging from what I've read here, I wouldn't bet on this making TMZ or anything.
It actually would have been nice if one of the reporters asked about it in the presser, but they were more concerned with asking JB if he was disappointed, which I think is what led to him saying he already answered that 8 times before the guy could finish his question.
If someone would be kind enough to approximate when in the game it was, I could go back and have another look.
He was pissed at Trevor and Kaleb because the LATech guard had just gotten into the lane by splitting them both just outside the foul line.
It caught my attention when it happened and I figured the media would turn it into a bigger story considering the current climate to do that for pretty much everything these days. Put me in the camp as I didn't think it was that big of a deal but I would prefer JB avoid doing that in the future just to avoid anything blowing up.
For crying out loud, he made it through Paul Harris and Louie McCroskey without doing anything like that so I think he should be able to do it now.

The Cooney shove was pretty tame.
But when JB put Kaleb in the cobra clutch at the under 4 timeout, that's when I felt like things maybe got a little out of hand.
