But has never had to recruitSchertz is probably the best coach on that list
But has never had to recruitSchertz is probably the best coach on that list
one caveat though is that it's a heck of lot easier to recruit to bama than it is to siena. nil, prestige, conference, etc. i thought part of the allure for hodgson was his ability to develop players because he wasn't getting 4 and 5 star players at usf.
Nobody wants to hear this, but it's true.Yes I advocate for Gerry cause I think he’s gonna be a HR and knows the program which is just a different deal than a lot of other programs .. But my question just being honest is what is it about BH .. Yes the Oats thing , but cmon Gerry coached under a HOF coach that won a Nat title and went to multiple final fours .. Yeah he faded and went with his kids at the end but overall your not gonna tell me Oats is overall a better coach than JB ever was .. Gerry also had many good recruits to the end but JB couldn’t close and oats can right now… And let’s me honest, yes the American is better than MAAC but the players each guy has will match their conference level .. And the AAC is really down .. USF should have success .. Memphis and FAU are bad .. WSU and UAB are mediocre
SmhWho’s bill murray? The guy from Space Jam?
Gerry started as an assistant coach at Syracuse when we were still good, during our golden age era! Alabama wasn’t a good program when Oats and Hodge first got there.one caveat though is that it's a heck of lot easier to recruit to bama than it is to siena. nil, prestige, conference, etc. i thought part of the allure for hodgson was his ability to develop players because he wasn't getting 4 and 5 star players at usf.
Huh? Schertz hasn't had to recruit? What are you talking about. But has never had to recruit
ok. i wasnt including timeline, but if we are, my comment still stands.Hodgson was a better recruiter at Bama when GMac was recruiting at Syracuse. Hodgson wasn't an assistant coach at Bama when GMac was a head coach at Siena.
Not worried. He’s been all over the place lately. That ain’t good.
The Fudge does Goodman know about our “resources” given we will have a new AD and already a new chancellor. That ain’t good.
He’s pushing his content. Two weeks ago we needed to hire Hodgson. Then hire Gmac. Now we don’t have the ability to hire Hodgson or Schertz all over the case of TWO WEEKS!The Fudge does Goodman know about our “resources” given we will have a new AD and already a new chancellor.
This is clickbait
0% chance he's leaving ISU and the Midwest to come hereTJO please
Yea. Most of these guys are just talking about crap that we have hashed out here a hundred times. The Fudge does Goodman know about our “resources” given we will have a new AD and already a new chancellor.

Gmac x and o coaching is terrific, people forget he whiffed on a lot of guys in recruiting here at the end. It’s not a lazy take. Gmac was on the bench for Red’s first year. And there was lots of stagnation and lack of movement and screening despite having some really good players. I’m know he runs better sets at Siena than Red. But Hodgson has an actual modern offensive vision backup up by analytics and proven success at multiple stops including as a head coach and as Oats’ right hand man at Bama. Hodge also has a proven track record of landing top players from high school and the portal. Gerry hasn’t shown that yet.
I believe fans will come out of the woodwork to donate once they see and hear from Hodgson and learn about his body of work, his exciting offense and overall vision. And then once they see the proof next year, we can up it even more. Not sure how dialed in Goodman is per se on Syracuse. It's been a while I am sure for him. For example Lally supports BH already. I would wager that if BH is the guy that Lally will provide out of the gate a lift on Nil. Also I bet ADJW is organizing behind the scenes a minimum Nil, enough to help the new AD bring in the coach desired. It will be up to the new coaches and AD to keep selling after that.
Oats is a much better overall coach than JB was his last 8 years. He proved he was better when he was coaching against him.Yes I advocate for Gerry cause I think he’s gonna be a HR and knows the program which is just a different deal than a lot of other programs .. And tho having a down year, the AAC is still head and shoulders better than the MAAC. I’ve seen a number of Siena games, and that league is pathetic.Yes I advocate for Gerry cause I think he’s gonna be a HR and knows the program which is just a different deal than a lot of other programs .. But my question just being honest is what is it about BH .. Yes the Oats thing , but cmon Gerry coached under a HOF coach that won a Nat title and went to multiple final fours .. I've convinced myself that our NIL was artificially limited by lack of confidence in the head coach. No one wants to throw money away. The Fudge does Goodman know about our “resources” given we will have a new AD and already a new chancellor.

Indiana st and st louis have not had real talent on their rosters.Huh? Schertz hasn't had to recruit? What are you talking about.
Had a think about this a few days ago. Every new coach needs a splash player.I believe fans will come out of the woodwork to donate once they see and hear from Hodgson and learn about his body of work, his exciting offense and overall vision. Just going off the Donna article where she said Iowa St doesnt have that much money0% chance he's leaving ISU and the Midwest to come here

No offense to BH but the average fan isn’t gonna care about his body of work or his vision or how he talks. Maybe some big donors will get more motivated when he gets after them selling but those guys want to know what they’re buying for players too.
Personally If I were to throw more money in the pot he would have to be telling me who he’s getting to replace the disfunctional backcourt we have now.
Most fans will get excited when he gets some big name players added and more importantly when he wins.
He's proven he doesn't need much money, and he's Midwest through and through. Don't get me wrong. He's a great coach and would love to have him. Just don't see it happening.Just going off the Donna article where she said Iowa St doesnt have that much money
