I never said I want Gerry necessarily. My point was Hodgson hasn't proven much more than Gerry has as a head coach.

You can have that opinion but its not shared with people who pay attention to college basketball outside of Syracuse.

Look at what Hodgson has done at non prestigious colleges. Meaning he has had little resources, and still made both programs have more success than they have ever had. St Louis and Siena have a ton of resources and are some of the best resources in their respective conferences.


Hodgson is doing less with more imo. And he has been to the big leagues and recruited at a very high level. In my opinion he has coached up his talent, has a great system, and knows what it takes in today’s college game with players switching constantly.

Not to mention, his personality is so Syracuse!!! I need it to be Hodgson, the fan base would be rejuvenated overnight.

St Louis is rated high in many team categories on offense and defense. The guy is a heck of a coach.

And I’m just messin with you. We’ve gone deep on Schertz for awhile now, but a lot of the board shifted back to Hodgson b/c he apparently wants the job whereas Schertz has seemed more lukewarm towards us from what some media folks were speculating.

Can you imagine him and Hurley in a top 10 matchup in the Garden, Cuse vs Unconn? If that happens, the calls for a return to the BE will be HUGE. A call that goes unanswered, rightfully.
