I don't think his style is best suited in the ACC. Just like how I don't see Hodgson style being the best style for the Big East. Hodgson style is best suited for the ACC or SEC.

Clinging to the past when the college basketball landscape was changing is a big part of why we are in our current predicament. We need to stop doing the same things and hoping for a different outcome, stop worrying about "family" BS, and hire the best coach we can.

Sadly, our former players have some of the worst "heart over mind" issues and simply refuse to see the forest through the trees, because they consider these candidates good friends.

You want to go out on a limb for GMAC... OK, there's a case to be made there at least... It's not a strong case IMO, but I will certainly listen...

...but Hop is not and never should be a legit candidate for the job at this time.

Purporting otherwise is just stupid.

The guy above nailed it. BH stands to lose a ton of money in any contract negotiation if USF bombs in its conference tourney. Or look great when he punches a ticket.

If it were me I’d be trying to get things cooking now too because I could look like a real clown if I somehow lost to Charlotte tomorrow. If his camp plays his cards right he may be able to get an offer from providence right now. I highly doubt Syracuse is going to make early promises.

Just a hunch too but if you listen to BB I think he was hired because he said he specifically had a process that he was going to run when picking the new coach.

We may be in a weird scenario where BH thinks he has the kahoonas to tell BB make me an offer today or else he’s goin with providence at which point I 100% think we would say No cuz we’re running a real process.
