Coach Search Options after Autry

How would PC have more money to offer? Maybe I am naive here….
this is just my take. They’re hoping that being an early mover on BH will lock him up. Why else for the mad rush today. Literally nothing has changed except their desperation. You can also see their camp pushing us towards GMac family hire to grease the wheels for them with BH.

Syracuse is clearly going to run a real interview process. I think Providence is willing to say name your price to BH’s agent today because they don’t have the same options.

PC is 100% reliant on a competitive team to be attractive to Irish people in New England. It’s a very pricy mediocre school and to attract kids to not go to Fairfield they need to keep the hoops humming

They will spend for sure because it’s relating to their overall health more so than us imo

SU should have the same urgency but who knows

There must have been more moronic posts than this over the last 30 years. I just can't think of any
Cusehulk and cuserunner would have a large number. And alaskaSU is trying reallllly hard.

That's disappointing. There's not a ton of time to get everyone rowing in the same direction. Candidly I am glad to hear it's not a money issue, that's a good thing but hopefully people get in lockstep. Crazy.
Seems like getting in lockstep could have $$$ implications.

Providence has ~50% acceptance rate which is decent.

Can someone frame the football issues without going into gory details? I thought everything was rosy with Fran.

A small number of donors contribute an inordinate amount of $$$ to support SU athletics.

One in particular provides the foundation that both sports rely on.

Said donor may have preferred another choice to be AD.

The University went in a different direction.

That annoys the donor, and may influence future donations. ESPECIALLY if the head coaching position goes in a different direction then they would prefer.

Taking their ball and going home could have implications on various NIL initatives that are already in place, which football relies on heavily.

Flip idk if you’ll see this but have you heard anything else regarding McDermott to Arizona State? I know there’s buzz but I personally don’t see it.

It really is a 4 year keg party. As someone who spent time there in college it’s not that serious a place. It needs the friars to be humming somewhat

No comparison to Syracuse which has football, frats a beautiful campus etc.

If you don’t get into PC there’s a pulse issue imo

Winning solves these problems. I don’t buy the forever booster issue

I’d be mad if I’m a Syracuse booster right now because the teams stink. ROI is bad
