Yup big trouble for Football.

And if we don’t have good football and money from them Syracuse doesn’t have athletics.

As much as many of us love bball the reality is we are getting 40 mil a year from the ACC for football and not basketball.

As soon as everyone realizes this and gets on the same page, it would be better.

Syracuse could be ELITE if all of the big donors got on the same page at Cuse

I don’t really blame the donors, you’re throwing away money each and every year to pay these kids with zero return. Pair that with the fact that everyone on the depth chart thinks they need to get paid and it’s hard to see how anyone survives

Hopefully, it will be someone else. If it’s McNamara then wash, rinse repeat - Former player as head coach brings in former players as assistants (Onuake and Blackwell). 3 years and out. Up next Hopkins?

PC is 100% reliant on a competitive team to be attractive to Irish people in New England. It’s a very pricy mediocre school and to attract kids to not go to Fairfield they need to keep the hoops humming

They will spend for sure because it’s relating to their overall health more so than us imo

So a "group" wanted Lyke and a "group" wanted Carp - Each side got neither
Now a "group" wants BH and a "group" wants GMac

The AD 1 pissed off one group, and the way it was handled by group 1 pissed off group 2
Now everyone is pissed at each why we are trying to make a coaching hire while all our donors are pissed at each other and if we hire GMac we can stand to lose even more money for all sports not just basketball.


Trying my best not to put names out I would rather that stuff come out after the coaching hire so we can actually hire the correct person.

Virtually every single person I’ve talked to in the past few days here in Syracuse prefers GMAC. And the ones who have hedged still want him despite expressing some concerns Boeheim legacy thing

As much as I love GMac and Hopkins, we need to hire outside the Syracuse family. We need to get this hire right if we want to succeed to what we once were.
