excellent post with one comment. if they chose too, a non football playing school such as providence could allocate close to the $20m rev share to bball. i doubt they'd want to but they do have a lot more flexibility than an su with rev share. could be a difference maker when looking at total funds available (nil + rev share).

They also have to fund their revenue. The max is $20 million. Most of the Big East schools aren’t and can’t fund the max.

Goodman isn't directionally off here - BH fits Cuse, but he also fits Providence.

If Providence puts together a far more compelling package (comp + NIL) I could see him choosing them. At the margins, I think he chooses SU, but it's not as simple as, "We want Hodgson, so we get him."

This new admin will be put to the test early if they really believe in putting their money where their mouth is.

Not sure I would leave USF for Providence. Not great upside for that change.

Yep. I believe the majority of the big east schools sit in the 7-10 range. Couple outliers. I do know Marquette is raising money to try and get into the 9-12 range because Shaka is going to use the portal for the first time.
