In the take it for what its worth category, I spoke to a current D3 men's basketball coach today at Ivy League title game who has ties with an assistant on South Florida who has ties to the area as well (they text regularly) and that assistant coaches opinion less then 20 percent chance Hodgson ends up at Cuse. The opinion is he will either be at South Florida again or Providence, NOT saying this is fact but interesting take.

If they whiff on Hodgson, there better be a better backup plan than Gmac

leads me to believe this is Anderson. Only coach with a tie to the area (head coach of Hamilton).

My opinion is BH wants a number from us for NIL and whatever number that is he wants assurances that number is real and we can get it. If we are in the same neighborhood as Providence then he will come to Syracuse

The agents gather all this info before interviews, they already know ranges today and tomorrow.

That was strange, particularly as I think the Yale coach is pretty highly regarded and has done a good job with their program.

The basketball program and alums are not the reason AW isn’t here anymore. Not sure if he’d be able to fund Gerry the same way if he was the coach here.

If he wanted to just contribute to the school NIL, they wouldn't turn it down.

I can’t imagine it’s more of a headache than other “donors” if it were tohappen. Just a headache in a different area than what they have now with some current ones. Also this is what BB is here to do. Does it matter who donates? Not to me

I talked to Adam yesterday and he reminded me that he had Hodgson lined up to coach Boeheim's Army at one point, but he had to drop out. He considers Hodgson a friend.

Yes. And, his daughter is going to Miami and he will give them something, but nothing huge. He is a Syracuse fan and would do much more here.
