This happens in pretty much every coaching negotiation now. It’s what Georgetown had to do to get Cooley. Pretty sure they regret that now.
Yup.
Standard practice by agents.

If they whiff on Hodgson, there better be a better backup plan than GmacIn the take it for what its worth category, I spoke to a current D3 men's basketball coach today at Ivy League title game who has ties with an assistant on South Florida who has ties to the area as well (they text regularly) and that assistant coaches opinion less then 20 percent chance Hodgson ends up at Cuse. The opinion is he will either be at South Florida again or Providence, NOT saying this is fact but interesting take.

leads me to believe this is Anderson. Only coach with a tie to the area (head coach of Hamilton). In the take it for what its worth category, I spoke to a current D3 men's basketball coach today at Ivy League title game who has ties with an assistant on South Florida who has ties to the area as well (they text regularly) and that assistant coaches opinion less then 20 percent chance Hodgson ends up at Cuse. The agents gather all this info before interviews, they already know ranges today and tomorrow. My opinion is BH wants a number from us for NIL and whatever number that is he wants assurances that number is real and we can get it. If we are in the same neighborhood as Providence then he will come to Syracuse
unreal, great environment for a small arena, Yale needs to foul in that situation. Cost me a good chunk of $$, had Yale MLYou saw a great game today.
You would think yale kids would be smarter lol.unreal, great environment for a small arena, Yale needs to foul in that situation. Cost me a good chunk of $$, had Yale ML
I think just bad coaching, worse then that they would sit that Mullins kid for such long stretches for no apparent reason. You would think yale kids would be smarter lol.
35 in White vs 44/20 in Black is the matchup. Is there a chance for Kyle to get another year of eligibility?USF-Wichita has been a real gritty game. I’d love to play in big Conf games again.
That was strange, particularly as I think the Yale coach is pretty highly regarded and has done a good job with their program.I think just bad coaching, worse then that they would sit that Mullins kid for such long stretches for no apparent reason.
If he wanted to just contribute to the school NIL, they wouldn't turn it down. The basketball program and alums are not the reason AW isn’t here anymore. Not sure if he’d be able to fund Gerry the same way if he was the coach here.
Kyle isn’t Nelson35 in White vs 44/20 in Black is the matchup. Is there a chance for Kyle to get another year of eligibility?
Martelli Jr.If they whiff on Hodgson, there better be a better backup plan than Gmac
I can’t imagine it’s more of a headache than other “donors” if it were tohappen. Just a headache in a different area than what they have now with some current ones. Also this is what BB is here to do. Does it matter who donates? Not to meWhy are some of you wanting SU to reengage with this guy? To go through the headaches again.
I talked to Adam yesterday and he reminded me that he had Hodgson lined up to coach Boeheim's Army at one point, but he had to drop out. He considers Hodgson a friend. The irony is would Weitsman put us over the top with NIL and seal the deal? Lol

Yes. And, his daughter is going to Miami and he will give them something, but nothing huge. He is a Syracuse fan and would do much more here.yes. i don't know how much but he gave nil to doty. doty even confirmed that on social media.
He's number two on my list right now.Martelli Jr
He won't do that, because of the administrative costs that reduce the contribution. He would rather spend his money directly. If he wanted to just contribute to the school NIL, they wouldn't turn it down.
He’s not but he’s the closet we’ve got and/or had in a really long time.Kyle isn’t Nelson
always a reason...He won't do that, because of the administrative costs that reduce the contribution. He would rather spend his money directly.
Enis and Kingz would be dynamic.USF’s guards are incredible. If Hodg ends up here, I’d hope he could bring Enis for sure and potentially Nelson.
What do you mean?always a reason...
