I mean you clearly didn’t watch both games if you disagree with my comment. I didn’t say Siena had a bad game plan or that Gerry is a bad coach, but Duke also missed a ton of wide open 3s that kept Siena in a great spot to win the game.

Now obviously given the press conference Gerry was willing to give them those shots, but reality is they shot below expectation.

Biggest question mark if we get a new coach tomorrow and maybe the most important- how much and who is on board NIL wise ? No matter who is announced I am tempering all optimism around the NIL situation.

Whether or not Gerry gets what he deserves here isn't the top priority. Gerry deserved to be hired over Red when we made our "must be in house" hire. But we can't make this hire based on what was unfair about the last one. This hire has to be based on the best coach we can get, and if Gerry is that, he deserves it. If not, maybe next time.

I agree. Watching the old Gerry videos the past few days gets the emotions going for sure. However, Syracuse doesn't owe him a thing. He made nice money I'm sure while he was here and has had the opportunity to get his own D1 job. What he decides to do from here is up to him.

I have 12 people coming to m house for that lacrosse game. Maybe it will also be a new coach party.

Not defending just pointing out next coach will be met by a fanbase with zero patience for the “rebuild”, “gotta get my guys in here”, and whatever other excuse coaches use to buy time. No clue who next coach is based on my unhealthy time investment in this thread.
