My only push back on that would be Hop has been active in NBA circles - he's had opportunity to add some concepts to his tool kit.
Wildhack should be pointing to Fran brown and the ability to get buy in from alums. Winning fixes all and needs to come first, the money will follow. If you start with money first and it doesn’t come with wins, the money and support will dry up.

Based on a few vague posts in this thread, it sounds like they’re threatening to do exactly that. The whole Hop interviewing at BC thing to provide leverage for him to get the Cuse job. Basically, “my big donors will take their money with me to BC if I don’t get this job”.
Cuse is so bad with this. Not only is change scary, but change is also good. And, more importantly, change is necessary.

There is no way his donors are taking their money to B.C. because of Mike Hopkins. I don't even believe Mike would make that claim in an attempt to get some type of leverage. Yes, I'm a Syracuse alum that gives money to Syracuse but if they name Hop coach at B.C. that is where my money is going to go? No way
All true. It is possible that he has learned something from being in the NBA.
don't confuse someone playing or trying to play politics with the responsibilities of the bot as an entity.

I would certainly hope that’s the case. But what’s the leverage play for Hop then at BC? He may beat us twice a year if he’s named HC there? There must be some sort of financial metric tied to it.

I'm sure that Wildhack and the BOT understand the urgency of making the move and filling the spot almost immediately. I don't see how they push off making a decision no matter which candidate they choose. So, either Wildhack works in conjunction with the BOT, or the BOT takes full responsibility.
Yeah without a chancellor, AD and coach all we can do is speculate who is in the running.
but like, didnt you two say that it was BH? I assumed that if BH name is making the rounds as a near done deal then they must know who the AD is
What if the big $$$ backs Lykes and Hopper?
First, I would question how the big $$$$ got the big $$$$. Second, hopefully we get the same luck with Lykes and Hopper that they did getting the big $$$$.
