I take it you weren't a math major.555%? So the average assistant makes less than zero? Or you using Trump math?

I would have to look but I think they have beaten 5 or 6 teams over 500.
But, of course, the teams in their league all have the same deficiency in talent so it makes sense the bigger conference teams carve them up.
For me, what is important is what they do with the players they have.
Can they get them to overachieve or underachieve?
Siena is second in their league so seems to me he is doing ok.
Gerry gets his guys to play tough, never surrender, put it all on the line ball.
Red gets his guys to play creampuff soft, roll over, lets think about the catering food after the game ball.
I suspect that Hop is worlds better than Red, not sure how he would compare to Gerry.
But again Hop cant be all that bad if he won 2 coaches of the year in Washington.
They dont give those things out as door prizes.
You have to earn it.
And impressed Washington so much they canned him a couple years later. This may be what the kids call a hot take, but let’s remember Hop did win the PAC 12. It may not be the American or whatever conference Arkansas St is in but I trust that with the right resources, Hopper can compete.
Actually it got him a great extension and they canned him a few years later because they couldn’t afford the buyoutAnd impressed Washington so much they canned him a couple years later.
True and the men's basketball brand is so huge, it should be able to operate independently. If you can somewhat justify your “NIL Money”, you can use less of the revenue share that can go to women’s hoops or football. This also makes the University take a different look at things.
To plays devils advocate it was a down year in the league. UCLA Arizona USC all around .500 records for the yearThis may be what the kids call a hot take, but let’s remember Hop did win the PAC 12. Publicly, Autry still has the job.Just received a reply from Wildhack. Based on his reply - which I won't share here - I have some hope that we may avoid the doomsday scenarios.
Hey, one out of seven tries ain’t bad. Good grief. The PAC 12 was also awful and he made a total of one tourney. This may be what the kids call a hot take, but let’s remember Hop did win the PAC 12. Or we have no lives…Skipped ahead 30+ pages since last night. Can't keep up.
The one thing I loved about this thread is that it shows the passion we all have for Syracuse basketball, and that we all really do care who the next coach is.
We all wanted their Harvard point guard and he’s been below average.Ask Georgetown fans how they're feeling about the job Cooley has done with a $10m+ roster this year.
Yup. Except we are not talking about a reduction. If I make $100 (close) and you make 555% more than me, do you make nothing?Well, 100% of something is all of it. 200% is twice as much. It is mathematically impossible to reduce something by more than 100%
Who knew Melo was an old, white guy?Old white people making huge decisions with the only thing in mind is how much money they can collect, rather than doing what’s best. What a shocker!
If they hire Hop, I’m done with this program. Unserious.
I trust Melo and JB in that I believe they have the best interest of the program at heart. I don’t trust other big donors with no connection to basketball inserting themselves into basketball affairs for the first time. If the administration opts to go with Hopper, backed by a large coalition of donors and stakeholders, then let’s ride!!!!’ Hop 2027!!!!!
555%? So the average assistant makes less than zero? Or you using Trump math?
I don't.
We have recent evidence to suggest that JB had his OWN best interests in mind, and acted accordingly.
I don't think altruism was demonstrated when he was forced to step down -- at all. In fact, the threat of him NOT acting in the best interests of the University / basketball program was one of the reasons we're in this predicament now.
Great news. Shertz must be finally coming around to his sensesJust received a reply from Wildhack. Based on his reply - which I won't share here - I have some hope that we may avoid the doomsday scenarios.
I actually heard Patrick Ewing is one of the NBA guys paying to get Hop here.Ask Georgetown fans how they're feeling about the job Cooley has done with a $10m+ roster this year.
They fired him because they couldn’t afford the buyout? I thought his pathetic record might have been the reason. The buyout was why he lasted as long as he did!Actually it got him a great extension and they canned him a few years later because they couldn’t afford the buyout
I implore others to do the same - Wildhack, while having a pulse of the fanbase, isn't sitting around sourcing message boards (anymore). This fanbase is the program; make yourselves heard.Just received a reply from Wildhack. Based on his reply - which I won't share here - I have some hope that we may avoid the doomsday scenarios.
