Coach Search Options after Autry

That contract should be with its agent and heading to Jerry's email box shortly
And that would be a win win for Gerry's agent. I made the point privately that Gerry's agent and BH's agent are one and the same. So, it would be better for him if BH went to P.C.. Then Gerry could get to Syracuse. And presto, he has two new contracts for both his guys.

Well, someone has to pay for that kitchen remodel.

The one game determining someone’s fate is why this program will remain years behind.

I’ll give him credit he had his kids loose and determined to play hard when duke was nervous and without two starters trying to figure out their offense.

I actually think it’s egregious coaching to play 5 guys the entire game. A great coach finds ways to get guys quality rests with tv time outs.

Again I’ll point out they were 145th in offense efficiency and 50th in defensive efficiency.

Unfortunately for Gerry there’s going to be a lot of discussion of him being an extension of JB and Red. It’s clear he can gameplan and get a team ready.

It’s the offense that concerns fans and the want to move to a completely different system on that side of the ball. The concern is it’s a continuation of what we have seen for decades.
I have only seen Sienna today but they ran modern offense (Zoom, DHO, and Horns actions are today’s modern offensive actions) of course Red also tried to run Zoom/DHO actions but it’s obvious GMac had his guys executing in a much much better manner. Also saw good backdoor sets out of their base Zoom actions which definitely isn’t a continuation of old Cuse offenses. Not to mention how often we all complained how Red didn’t run sets for shooters like Bell & Kingz but I saw multiple sets to free up Coyoe and Doty and I missed most of first half and Duke zoned a lot in second half.

Doty was impressive and Coach Mac did an incredible job. He meets the criteria of being passionate and able to inspire and motivate a team to play for each other. With 2 decent bench players at his disposal, this could have resulted in an upset.

The downside is the offense as others have stated. Perhaps with better skilled and athletic players he would have been more creative offensively. Again, as others have stated, he might do fine if we can get an offensive minded creative assistant. Let’s hope the new AD sees it the way we do if G Mac is the guy.

I’d still go with Murray.

I'm just trying figure out what the floor is for next season. Is it being competitive in a half against Duke or we winning games?
How about getting blown out in the first half against Louisville? But the good news is that we can always pretend that we were going to be a top 5 team with 25 wins if only we would have got Hodgson. Who might just have turned us down.

But man they were leading Duke at halftime come on send him the contract

Gerry checked off a couple more boxes today.

As much as I’d prefer a few other guys, I am not at the panic level I was earlier.

I was adamantly against Red 3 years ago. But if went back in time and Red was stepping into the job with the same track record as Gerry currently has, I think I’d have accepted it.

There’s a freight train coming, and I’d prefer to see how this plays out over the next couple of years, as opposed to jumping in front of it.

That said, I don’t think the honeymoon period will be very long.

Correct. Siena just didn’t have the shooters. Coyle had a down year. They play extremely slow. I would hope that changes.

I asked you a question. Which team was more prepared today. Siena or South Florida. Seeing as how we would both agree, it was the most important game of the year.

Siena was more prepared to play today and played harder and with more passion. I think I have already commented on that today in this thread, unless it got deleted. I gave it to BH pretty good.
