No inside info here, but let's say they talked last week and they were agreed upon on the numbers for him, but NIL needed to hit a certain point. So they agree to wrap it up after his games this week if they get the NIL there.

They do, they could easily have the contract waiting for him in Buffalo. Story leaks by tomorrow, announcement is made with a Monday presser?

Not necessarily. There were rumors Schertz had discussions on Wednesday this week. So who knows.

I think he is the one who told us that information A deal could have already been in place with Schertz and just needs to be formalized. But the timing does make me sad as it seems way to quick for Schertz but I guess anything is possible.

knowing how the school operates...we will see a Tweet from Thamel the night before an official announcement. He did us a solid yesterday with that interview. He will be breaking this most likely...then there will be an official announcement the next morning from the school. followed by a presser a few days later...

No offense but they'll give it Thamel the night before then announcement. He's been pretty good to us. So a Sunday night thing from him then Monday university news and then everyone gets a NIL push next week to get the portal rolling.

BB is the wildcard in this situation but still.

Well, I think there are plenty of guys that can blow a practice whistle. We have been subjected to so much malpractice that we think only Hodgson or only Gerry or only Schertz can do it. But that isn't true. We just can't do what we did the last time and hire someone that we have no idea if they can coach a game.
