If the donors are open to a rational argument, they will support schertz. If they aren't open to that, Schertz is out.

Well if I had a million dollars to give to GMAC, it would be a hard sell for me to switch my money.
I would hold on to my money and tell them to approach me in a year after I got to see how well Schertz can do.
And that is not being irrational, that is the result of knowing nothing but the statistics that are being thrown at me about Schertz.
But that is just how I would feel as a donor.

UNC goes now and Self seems to have several years left in him. Also if we get into the P2, which we may in the next few years, there may only be ~5 jobs clearly better than ours, if that.

I think that's more on St Louis trying to lock him up and failing. I am sure he told them he wasn't signing anything right now but if you want to do and an announcement that you presented a package to me, ok. It's more a pr cya for their admin to their fans that they are trying to keep him... Which is understandable and a viable PR move.

If you had a million dollars to donate to Syracuse basketball NIL, and you could influence the coaching search, you wouldn't watch a few games for the coaches in question do that you would know more than the statistics?
