Expectations for him will be off the charts. He’ll be expected to be the next Larry Bird. For better or worse Doty is coming and will be getting minutes next year

My point is when a bunch of different people from different sources tell me money is pouring in if it is Gerry and the A.D. says NiL is the key and he hires Gerry, I think it is 1+1 =2 But you might be right so ...
I agree but I would hedge on the go peacefully. We have all seen what not going peacefully looks like and it wasn't really JB at the end.Did he give his full self to the university when he hung on too long, refused to go peacefully, and made one of the most uncomfortably awkward exits of any legendary head coach?
It’s a Syracuse message board, nobody cares that much. Dw.Now I got bnoro and qdawggy mad at me. Great, the very last 2 people you want mad at you.
Mr and Mrs Seinfeld? It will also be nice to see Jerry ‘s parents back at games.
Many, many were glad to see the previous coach go.How many people were excited about JAB becoming head coach in for the 75-76 season? The excitement was probably more about Louie and Boyle than anything else.
Yea sports in general is low on my priority list.Stressful time? Its a game. Im as big of a fan as anyone but my life isnt changing based on us hiring a basketball coach. Maybe it comes with age
Very trueIt’s a Syracuse message board, nobody cares that much. Dw.

I suppose he could have made it uglier, but it's also three years later and people are saying he undermined one or more of our top choices to be the next HC.I agree but I would hedge on the go peacefully. We have all seen what not going peacefully looks like and it wasn't really JB at the end.

We've gone from the argument being GMac with $12M vs Schertz with $8M, and the Schertz guys saying if he wins year one he'll get to $12M to the argument being if GMac wins with $9M he'll get to $13M?Win and NIL will never be a problem. If he can win with 9 he can crush it with 13
I agree on most of it but i don't think he really cares about being talked about. He just doesn't know how to say no to being interviewed. His wife ended up answering a question she didn't appear to really want to answer instead of just shrugging it off and saying not my field.I suppose he could have made it uglier, but it's also three years later and people are saying he undermined one or more of our top choices to be the next HC.
I think he mostly cares about being talked about positively and remembered for as long as possible, and he knows he'll get more of that if it's a family hire who has success than if it's an outside hire who has success. But that's just my .02 as a fan. Obviously he wants Cuse to win, but he wants them to win the way he wants, not whatever way is best for the program.
If he doesn't care, why do you think he's exerting the kind of influence he is to try to force them to keep it in the family instead of supporting a national search for the best candidate and then doing his part to line up the NIL regardless of who it is? Is there another reason that makes sense?I agree on most of it but i don't think he really cares about being talked about. He just doesn't know how to say no to being interviewed. dasher noted accumulating nil is not melo related so I'd be fine with kiyan leaving, and am indifferent on freemanSo how does Melo feel about this hire?
Don't just look for the negative things to read to enforce negative thoughts. Thamel had written that Syracuse will be top third and maybe higher. That differs from Norlander. The one thing i am confident about is the money. This year we will have it.We've gone from the argument being GMac with $12M vs Schertz with $8M, and the Schertz guys saying if he wins year one he'll get to $12M to the argument being if GMac wins with $9M he'll get to $13M?
Man I really hope that CBS article is wrong and I hope we hire a prominent outside assistant for the offense, but I can't say I'm optimistic - it seems like this is just getting more depressing.
