Coach Search Options after Autry

I can't even begin to express how much I envy the people who are capable of just popping in and being like "Awesome hire, amazing resume, awesome analytics, he's gonna be great, what are you all complaining about?"

God, you guys must be so much happier and so much less frustrated than me most of the time. Meanwhile, I'm over here feeling gaslit by a lot of the arguments being made and dreading the worst for the program, no matter how badly I want it to work out.
Oh trust me I’m very frustrated but we can’t change the outcome. Gotta ride with what we have and hope for the bezt

Hey I’m the only one here who wished u a happy birthday

LOL, I forgot that was you who said that. Crazy that was legit the day of my bday. 800+ pages of reading this thread, I can't remember anything anymore.

He can get minutes, but if he’s starting then we are pretending to be a competitive basketball team.
Are you a scout. You saw how many games. His skill set grew exponentially since his freshman year. Hi 3pt will get better.

Just found out the reason GMac hasn't signed yet is because TJ is leaving Iowa State. Just watched them beat Kentucky and at the end of the interview as he was walking away he was told to rest his voice. He laughed and said he needs to learn to control it better since next year he will be coaching in front of 30k every week.

Don't just look for the negative things to read to enforce negative thoughts. Thamel had written that Syracuse will be top third and maybe higher. That differs from Norlander. The one thing i am confident about is the money. This year we will have it.
Top third is not $9 million. Thats not even last year’s top third.

Then he told two different people two different things. Did JB think Hodgson could win here, absolutely. Did he want him here as coach. NFW. And I absolutely positively trust my source on this one.
Same. And as noted with the tweet just dropped here, like others, they really thought schertz was gonna be the hire, over the moon happy

We are. Try drugs.

Couple people in the thread said they know for a fact that Doty, Foleface, and Moesch are coming. Obviously they could be wrong.

Doty: Ok for sure, could be good starter in ACC... or at least solid 6th man at worst.

Folefac: Interesting game and he's an absolute bull... But not sure he's a 20 mins a game horse against much taller, athletic ACC players day in, day out. Minimal minutes role player at best is my guess and a guy to give starters some rest breaks.

Moesch: Really not sure...

Unlike some, I feel a great deal of hope with this hire!
Obviously, I do not know for sure who will be on the roster.
All I know for certain is those players will work hard and always give maximum effort.
And have a coach who actually can coach and who can actually make half time adjustments.
Something we have not seen at SU in years.
Goodbye cream puff players and whining coaches!

Amen. What a group of Rebecas.

Keep my wife's name out your mouth!

I read the articles as saying they were hoping the resources were top third in the ACC. It didn't sound iron clad. And how could it be if we don't know what other teams are going to spend?
One thing is for sure, Gerry would/will not come here without the resources needed to be successful. Donna also mentioned this in her article in the PS. I’m thinking at least $13. That means $9 million above the revenue share.

Oh no you didn't... 🤣

For better or worse Doty is coming and will be getting minutes next year
Im not saying I want him playing huge minutes or even starting for that matter...idk what the roster will look like but we can use more kids like Gavin Doty on our team. We've lacked kids with his heart and determination for many years now. Sign me up for whatever minutes he gives us!

I agree on most of it but i don't think he really cares about being talked about. He just doesn't know how to say no to being interviewed. His wife ended up answering a question she didn't appear to really want to answer instead of just shrugging it off and saying not my field.
Attention is a powerful drug.

I have a hard time with the narrative a coach won’t come here with only 9 million. Some of these teams have success will a much smaller budget in the ncaa
