Coleman-Rak starting tomorrow?

I hope you are wrong. I would love to see DC2 in around the first TV timeout. I have no idea why DC2 didn't get time against Seton Hall - bizarre. My best guess is it was because after he put in BMK he got one of the best efforts of the year out of BMK and he didn't want to interupt it. I am hoping JB realized after the game the DC2 ommision error and that prompted his response that he would make a concious effort to get him in the game today. It is the downside of not doing the token start thing. The token start was the easiest way for JB to hand out developmental time.

In a way this game doesn't matter as much as Seton Hall. JB should really make sure DC2 gets a taste of the BET.

After typing this out I am now of the opinion that the odds are in favor that DC2 will see time. Time in the first half.

Dont get me wrong, I am not saying I dont want to see him. I just know how JB will operate his bench and I dont see Dc getting minutes unless the status quo changes during the game.

DC2 is there incase BMK or Rak suck, or get into foul issues; neither of those things happened yesterday. But yes, I expect him today, I think our bigs will have foul issues.

I get you. I just think that JB may have reflected back after the game and regretted not getting DC2 some time in the BET. Sentimental reasons, the last go round, BET/NYC and all. I think if you think about it that way, you want to make a concious effort to get him in.

If that happened, I think JB would make it a premeditated decision to give DC2 time after the first TV time out. This way, no matter what DC2 would get to see some time. I hope this is the case.

I don't know about any of that, but I think the biggest reason DC2 didn't get into the game yesterday was that SHU jumped out to that early lead. Boeheim plays to win the game at hand--he doesn't worry about downstream stuff.

If we'd jumped out to an early lead instead of playing catch-up the entire first half, then it is possible that DC2 would have seen some floor time. But when the game's on the line, JB goes with proven players that he trusts. That's the way its always been, that's the way it always will be.

This is exactly why I dont think he sees the floor. To give him a couple of minutes because he feels like he should have last game will not factor into his decision today. I knew DC was done when he didnt see the floor against Marquette. That told me everything.

The bench today is BMK and Grant...and that's it. The old JB 7 man team.

Good point and it is the downside to not having the token start. Because in the middle of a competitive game JB is not thinking about developing a player.
I thought there was some breathing room towards the end though. A lot easier for me to say now though.

I am still holding out though. But I am tempering that because if the Marquette and Seton Hall beasts didn't make JB think it would be a good time for DC2, then, yeah, it is tough to imagine the change this late in the season.

Cooney will see some time in the first half. I dont see the guards both going 40 minutes today. Especially if we struggle to score.

Perhaps because they trailed for almost the entire first half and were in a close game for a good part of the second half. You know JB rides his experienced players in tight games that he "has to" win.

Yeah, I suppose in the wake of what I thought was a comfortable win, I didn't give that enough thought.

So upon further thought I have downgraded my expectations of DC2 time. Not only is it not developmental time, but also BMK had a really good game. I would still like to see DC2 but I have lowered my expectations.
