College football coaches favor changes to targeting rule, no Friday night games

No Friday night games is a great rule change to suggest. We need to make sure games are accessible to high school football players and fans, who are often the core of the college fanbase as well (depending on which part of America you're in).

The targeting rule change is LONG overdue. Incidental helmet to helmet contact shouldn't get the same treatment as lining up a helmet to helmet hit on someone who is trying to catch a pass over the middle. The Flagarant I/Flagarant II system works very well in college basketball, I think it will fix this problem with targeting.

has anyone actually reviewed the HS friday night thing? i know its a lot of schools but are there not a ton that play sat? there are very few friday night college games so how many kids get affected by a friday night game?

our school some years plays zero friday games, we also have zero athletes so its a wash!!!

It's changing over in CNY too. Friday night games are becoming more common, a lot of it is the smaller schools are finally putting in lights when they renovate their fields. That's where the trend is headed, and as time goes forward it will be more and more Friday night and fewer Saturday games.
