Just curious, how so? In some major battles or working on some major players, or both?Recruiting is insane right now... WOW!
Yeah, I've got two guys basically locked up but arguably my #1 target lists me...and three other schools. I've never been in that much of a dogfight for a prospect before.Both... Major battles for major players. Hope that I land the prize recruit I'm spending all my loot on.
Correct on Avina/Linton. Rule of thumb for me... C should be your highest ATH/REB/BLK/LP guy. PF should be similar, but you want to have more speed. Centers don't really need speed at all.
On PG/SG, Typically, your highest PE guy should be your SG, but you want your best BH/Pass guy to play PG everyday and for your PG to have 135+ ATH/SPD total.
I've done Alabama, North Carolina, Georgia, and North Dakota.
Yes, three of those were after I already started recruiting kids so I could see if they had enough potential to make them worth chasing.
My prize transfer is from ND so you jerks stay away from him.
What position/eligibility are you looking for?anything promising in NC?
I did TN this year. what should I be looking for?
Let me know if you find the next MCW
As far as SF from NC, Branden Smith, a 6-7 HS prospect doesn't look bad:I'd take a PG with 3 or 4 years.
If I can find one, and get him fairly cheep, I can go after someone with 1 or 2 years. I've been recruiting guys that I thought had good potential, but they fizz out before their junior year, so my roster is pretty pathetic.
I should prolly be looking for a SF with 3 or 4 years as well...
I think I plan on staying in DII for a while, So I should prolly just start rebuilding, getting some good folk in there.
Long story short, if you see a solid PG, or SF, let a brotha know lol
I usually try to find a guy that will be at least a 40 def... that said, that guy could be a monster sub.So how much stock do you put in for D? If I have a guy that is high in ATH, REB, BLK, and LP, but has shitty D, would he be a decent center?
As far as SF from NC, Branden Smith, a 6-7 HS prospect doesn't look bad:
Athleticism 42 Average
Speed 46 Average
Rebounding 41 High
Defense 24 High
Shot Blocking 23 High
Low-post 25 High
Perimeter 49 Low
Ball Handling 18 Average
Passing 18 Average
Stamina 78 Average
Durability 57 Average
FT Shooting Low
Lots of room for improvement, anyway. Only two "low" areas is always a good sign for a guy with a 477 rating.
Not a ton of talent in the states I scouted this year. Definitely not at the PG spot.
EDIT: Maybe take a flier in a SG named Steven Freeman from NC...JUCO kid with 3 years left, 507 rating but BH is 53, passing is 47, athleticism is 48, speed is 67, and his work ethic is 67 so he could possibly convert into a point guard down the road.
what do you look for in a SF?Thanks brotha!
