Marylands D played well enough not enough juice offensively.
Schaller a lefty is better suited against righties.Schaller is an AA but Kirst has owned that matchup, at some point u gotta make a switch. Tillman with a rare unforced error
Deserving championDefinitely prefer Cornell winning over MD. Congrats to the big red
First game winners are 14-4. Higher overall seeds are 13-5. So it would seem both play a factor.the correlation is to higher seeded teams winning. not the 2nd game. maryland happens to be more popular than most teams.
That game certainly makes clear that Cuse needs a better game plan on offense to beat a great defensive team. Cornell was able to adjust and score by beating their man one on one over and over again against MS! Cuse has had a lot of talent and I think Pat March is not up to the task.
Cornell is better defensively than I thought.
I don't know if I can take Carc, Quint and Anish any more. And I am looking forward to not hearing the Kirst name in D1 games!!
Someone at ESPN (or maybe Wildhack can offer free advice) needs to sit them down and explain that they need to drastically change how they cover games going forward. Anish: Stop with the esoteric references. Quint: Stop acting like a know it all pharisee. Carc: Stop saying every team's 6th string redshirt freshman SSDM has potential to be the greatest to ever play the position in the history of lacrosse. That game certainly makes clear that Cuse needs a better game plan on offense to beat a great defensive team. If you were drinking every time they referenced Kirst you wouldn’t be able to see right now. Over under on shots of mother Kirst 2389That game certainly makes clear that Cuse needs a better game plan on offense to beat a great defensive team. but you can go back further and essentially eliminate one of them. why the cutoff @ 18?First game winners are 14-4. Higher overall seeds are 13-5. So it would seem both play a factor.
This is going to continue to be a problem unless there is a significant re-composition of the team- lots of talented parts whose deficiencies as a highly functional whole are unmasked against the best competition. There are some questions to which this team just does not have answers as it is currently constituted.Cornell has multiple elite Dodgers, SU has 1 above average and hes not playing attack, that's a major difference and problem.
