Also their defense talked a lot could see even dmids pointing to to guys or where player should go after a slide came to help. They were all in sync played as team. Was impressed by their dmids play n how they were even talking n calling out things. They got ball out n up fast at times n early offense. Also their O middies didn’t run right off either they got back into the whole covered a guy most likely gonna sub off n when did went with them so didn’t give up transition. They also played the sub game very well. They didn’t turn ball over much at all n was able to completely take maryland out of their comfort zone n get a lead n forced maryland to have to play little faster. Maryland started making mistakes. Cornell just did fantastic job n did exactly what needed to to beat maryland.

How many teams have elite dodgers?

I only watch SU college lacrosse games, except for the playoffs, so, from what I’ve seen, to answer your question directly (if it’s the 4th quarter of a game and if you need a goal, then the below attackmen can get you an unassisted goal; that’s my definition of an elite dodger)
Cornell - 2 - Kirst, Goldstein
Maryland - 1 - Spanos
Penn St - 1- Traynor
Duke - 1 - McAdorey
N Carolina - 2 - Duffy, Pietramala
Army - 1 - Eicher
Georgetown - 1 - Carroll
Harvard - 1 - King
Towson - 1 - Weisshaar
Notre Dame - 1 - Kavanagh
Syracuse - 0

As a side note, all of the other 3 Final Four teams would have killed us, and we would have lost to both Richmond and Georgetown, too. They were both really good teams. Richmond Almost beat Cornell, and I think they were probably even better than Maryland. So even though we made it back to the Final Four, we’re not as close to winning a chip as it seems (which was evident by our beatdown by Maryland)

I only watched 1 Princeton game all season, and it was the game that we played them (which was the greatest game SU lax has played in the past 12 years! That was the game of the season). Mackesy looked just like Hiltz to me. A phenomenal shooter and scorer, but not really a dodger. Palumbo is a middie, and he looked unstoppable against us partially because we were inexcusably putting a SSDM on him

Cornell led by 3+ goals in the 4th of every game this year except the 1st Richmond game and the 2nd Richmond game where they only led by 2. They played them tough.. Knust saving 25% in that first game was some of it.

Every guy on your list would need a pick to be successful most of the time except Goldstein and Kirst.

Not a fan of hypothetical games but playing a like opponent close doesn't mean they would beat us.

Sorry but I cannot stress enough how strongly I disagree with this way of looking at things. Spallina and Hiltz are on a level with all of those guys except Kirst Goldstein and a fully healthy Duffy. All of those guys have been shut down in certain matchups or close to it. Spallina and Hiltz were just as likely to make a 4th quarter play as those guys aside from Kirst and Goldstein. Where was Caroll in their game against MD? Where was McAdory against GTown? Where was Sam King against us? Where was Traynor against Cornell? Heck literally every non CJ Kirst and Goldstein attack has been shut down or close to it against MD.

You are judging everyone else by their best games and you are judging Hiltz and Spallina by their worst. You act like every team has a cheat code off the dodge and we don’t because we feel like it is not necessary or something. Every single one of these guys besides Kirst Goldstein and a 100% healthy Duffy would have this guy complaining about their play if they were in a cuse uniform. Guys who go off no matter who is guarding them are rare(!!), not something every other team with a pulse has shored up except us. You know why Makesy did not look like a dodger to you? Because Riley Figueras was guarding him. Not because he can't dodge.

The biggest issue I had about our offense was that we wouldn't continue to put Joey on the move off ball like we did against ND.

It was interesting to me after watching Kirst and Goldstein torch people what a difference in size each kid is.
