Someone send Jake a carton of Winstons.

Sign the box "Love, Kent." And whatever goofy emojis the kids use these days.

I sent an email to mail@carrierdome.com and I just stated what year I became a FB and BB season ticket holder and how many points I should have.

They shorted me season ticket points from 1985-1995 (since their database only went back as far as 1995). They said they would adjust the point totals, and it would appear on my account in July.

They got back to me within 24 hours.

I got the letter and to be honest I didn't even open it yet. Whatever the point total is Im sure I need 8 million before I reach something I would actually want or be eligible for. As long as they send me the tickets and parking pass on time and don't put another building on the fine lot im good to go.

Ok, I am choosing to think of it this way. I am upset because I thought he was the leader that we needed. I thought he was the man to guide the athletic department to new heights. Clearly he is not that man, so even if he stayed, he would likely have failed at some point, so better he leave now so that we can get the right person for the job.
In fact he's not much of a man at all. Certainly not a manly man.

If he were the leader that I, and many others, had envisioned him to be, he would have handled this situation much better than he has. I think he hit a homerun with Babers, so I am glad that he was here to take care of that, but the AD position, particularly with the possibility of future conference expansion, requires a forward thinker and a strong leader, judging by his cowardly exit, I am not sure he would have been the man to lead us through all that.

Damn, lots of hate here for the guy. I mean, i get it, he left within a year, but have any of you had the opportunity to leave a job for a much larger compensation package at a competitor? I cant find Coyles SU Salary, but Gross was making 575k when he was let go. Coyle was making 330k at Boise. Teague was making 500k at minny. Can you blame coyle for leaving to take 20%+ pay hike at a competitor? I know i would.

Huh? I don't think he was making the same salary here as he was at Boise. There's not a lot of difference between the two schools (aside that we're better in most sports).

Class is becoming a commodity in this society.
Money notwithstanding, theres a way to handle your business...and this simply wasn't it.

I don't blame him, but do you think he handled it well?

I understand. It would make me feel better, though, if I saw a press release that stated, "I couldn't resist a 20% pay increase, plain and simple."

You let your guys know from you, not the press, or twitter.

Plus, he's a gutless coward. Fired Shafer and staff via text, and dropped the bomb on the boys and walked out without the courtesy of explaining the decision. Coyle's a @!#$#@. Nothing will change my mind on that.

Yeah to me it's quite simple. He didn't like the job ( reasons I have no idea but clearly he didn't), he went looking, got a new one and got more $$ as most people do when they take a new job.. Sounds like wifey may have not loved the area either. It happens.

He hired Dino, all I care about, which is great. What new AD can come in and say that Baber's isn't a great hire. Babers still has to win games regardless of who the AD is
