Crean basically inherited an intramural team in 2008, and did a great job building that program back up to what probably may have been the best team in the country in 2013 (they were ranked #1 for much of the year). But since then, IU hasn't really been able to keep it's footing as a Top 25 team. This is the right move, in my opinion.

i would find that hard to believe. UCLA is the better job. But, coaching at the old school could have some pull.
