DB Ben Labrosse now in the portal

Not just Labrosse all of them. Toxic Syracuse. Nobody wants to be here if they don't have to. Sounds like the 1970s, players here not really wanting to be here but nobody else really wanted. Also the early 50s early Ben days.
I’m still expecting a few more transfers to enter the portal. Don’t forget we recently fired a parent of one of our defensive backs.

So, what the heck is REALLY going on here. ????
It is called “really bad game management and bad decisions by HCDB”. I don’t see this ending well. I wouldn’t be so worried if we had a few good players portal in, but that hasn’t occurred.

Ppl can argue all they want that Dino isn’t a lame duck but the fact of the matter is there is very little chance he turns this around next season. It’s clear as day coaches are using this against him recruiting wise and there is very little chance he can land a good oc to come here for a year. This is going to get very ugly and the next coach is going to be in a very tough spot with talent and numbers.

I'm having a hard time not seeing it end like that. The one good thing is if we end up getting a new coach, maybe he can get some players to transfer with him.

The irony is he's one of the guys who hasn't transferred yet. Would have guessed he'd have been one of the first out the door.

Stevie Wonder could of seen this coming.

He could have come back here. But he didn’t. He doesn’t want to,play here. So, there

Yes Dino left the door open for him. But he’s not a portal kid leaving SU. I’m not even sure why he has to go in the portal versus just go to another school. He’s a free agent not an SU player.

Good lord. This is getting out of control.

What is? These kids were all terrible, we didn’t want them anymore. We’re recruiting so well there’s no need for any of these players. Everything is fine.

So,if the door was open to return, why didn’t he want to come back here?

Seems like all coaches, except a few, move on to greener pastures on a spontaneous whim - often in a capricious and unexpected manner. Can that practice be used against coaches?
True, Dino may be less secure than others, but the whole game of opportunistic coaching musical chairs spares no one. How heavily does any recruit analyze a head coach's endurance?
I just wonder how much of a factor Dino's hot seat is these days with the general state of recruiting, NIL factors, transfer portal availability (where a recruit is barely tied to a school now - they can sample) and the fact that asst. coaches play so heavily into a recruit's choice.
I think our ability/inability to recruit is married more to location, program perception and individual position coaches ability to corral talent and sell the program.
