I agree Bees but by submitting his name in the portal it seems like he wants to come back to the States and play ball but just not at Syracuse. That’s what’s disappointing to me. HCDB even said 3 months ago the door was open for him. Who knows hopefully the coaches call him and he’ll be back on the hill. Just not chestnut hill or down in that swampland across from nyc.

Players leaving can be for multiple reasons. When you have as many good players leaving as we do its hard to simply brush it off. In addition we have had 2 of our higher rated recruits decommit. Couple that with only 10 verbals and its obvious things are not very great. Hopefully Dinos Stealth mode pays off and he finishes strong.

Because the portal is a mechanism for connecting the player to coaches / programs, and informing them of his availability.

We gave him a.game ball after he left the program. It's clear we wanted him back.

I don’t see it any different than a HS or JUCO kid. He wasn’t a college player. But you’re probably right that it just makes things cleaner.

I view it as a bulletin board. Nobody knows your available if you don't put the word out.
