I'm still enjoying it. Especially because we're going to a bowl game and I'm super stoked about next year's potential.

Also, to me, this is the best back to back offseasons that I've seen in a LONG time.

Why can't it be both?

I mean, they always kinda have, and still kinda are.

The paycheck back in the day was the free tuition, room and board.
Then it was stuff under the table at some/most places added onto that.
Now it's NIL, portal, etc. added onto that.

A certain # of kids have always changed schools looking for more opportunity - however they chose to define that.

It's just a lot more now, and a lot more potential opportunity in more ways than it ever was before.

I don't know -- Carter generated a lot of turnovers, he's a multi-year starter [intermittently]. I could see him getting SEC / B1G offers. Also important to note that there are tiers within those conferences -- so while he might not get a Georgia / Alabama offer, he could still land at one of the second tier programs.

He's originally from the DMV, right? So I could see him going to Maryland [not saying he will -- just for example], which would be B1G.

Duce is another proven commodity, so I have similar expectations. BUT I'm expecting him to flip to Miami, who tried to throw him money last year.

Hes from Henrico which is a northern suburb of Richmond. If he is trying to play closer to home VT is still 3 and a half hours away. Wake, Duke, NC State and UNC are all closer than VT. Now UVA would make sense. Its under an hour down 60 from Henrico.

Sadly, my feeling is we have shown to put DB in the pros. Why he doesn’t see this and learn and grow to be a nfl guy kills me. We have good coaches who know what guys should be doing to play in the league. Wish he could see this.

Yeah I don’t get it to be honest. Unless there is serious NIL money at play, or maybe he wants to play full time closer to home, doesn’t make a ton of sense.

Interesting that in the snapshot is a Nil value. I wonder if in the future for transfers and high school ratings if there will be Nil tier ratings as well. Is the delay with Carter and Duce because they are working through the details of their Nil contracts?
