Jonathan Ford Continues to Stay Red Hot
Corey Bender

Miami have the early advantage with
Jonathan Ford, but that's not going to handcuff additional programs from pursuing the 6-foot-5, 255-pound defensive end, especially with still two years of high school left.
It feels like it was just the other day when the Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard product was on the receiving end of his first offer from
Florida Atlantic. Since capturing his offer from the Owls back in March, the likes of
Ohio State,
Florida State, Miami and
South Carolina have chipped in with offers of their own, providing him with near double-digit opportunities.
A massive athlete in the trenches who's approaching 260 pounds, Ford carries his weight well and has the makings of an impressive strong-side defensive end at the next level. He's still somewhat lean for his size and could line up at around 280 pounds once he dives into a college strength and conditioning program.
In the video below, Ford talks about the talent surrounding him on the defensive side of the ball, his interest in Miami, Florida State and Ohio State, his experience with the recruiting process, visits over the summer and more.
