Depth Chart / Injury Updates for Wake

You guys act as if Jordan has zero say in the matter. If kid wants to play and doesn't want to redshirt or be at Syracuse as a 6th year senior more or less he will most likely play. If he is as good as many of you think he is, he would most likely leave as a 5th year junior to go to the NFL with his degree in hand anyway. Age and carries/ tread on tire does matter at the running back position in the NFL too

Agreed but then the question is when did he decide he didn't want to redshirt? If it was months ago or last week?

If he didnt want to RS at a minimum he should have been returning kicks from game 1. No playbook required.

Did you not see who kept getting beat deep playing single high on Saturday?

I can only say for certain that one bad one was on him Saturday.

If you want to look at the entire season though Foster was a much bigger issue than Cisco.

No. I'm not saying Jordan shouldn't have a say.

I'm saying that this is an absolutely stupid time to figure out that he doesn't want to redshirt, if that's the case.

How do you know how hard he worked in practice? How well he knows the system? Calls out the blocks at RB? a million other day to day things. You don't but these things matter. So he has gotten some PT as of late and great for him. Why? Staff thought he deserved it, was ready and it was warranted and they thought he could help. Now they are left with this scenario and whatever happens it's not that big of a deal. He's here at a minimum of 3 more years most likely. Always kids you wanted one more year with, its college football. But I wouldn't make it out to be if he plays Saturday that Dino is some type of incompetent idiot because he let the kid play. Sounds like he probably won't

Here's a thought: if he doesn't red shirt this year he could do so in the future in a year where he gets hurt early in the season. It would be dependent on the NCAA granting him an additional year.

Correct me if I'm wrong but do you still need to be granted if u play less than 4?

Other than the last sentence, which is inaccurate, it’s a good point. If he can help us win Saturday, get us going out on a positive note, then by all means. If something unfortunate happens in a subsequent year, we might get that extra year anyway.

Maybe things have changed a little since he played so well, but I’d be surprised if he plays. Babers previously mentioned late in the season that he was going to utilize the four games for Jordan and he’d redshirt.

Babers now saying that he has a decision to make etc is just lip service to not give away anything to our opponent. There is no reason for him to come out and say that Jordan is redshirting and not going to play Saturday. This would allow Wake to not have to mention or prepare for him at all (not that he would be a big focus but any mention is time away form preparing for other stuff)

You seem quite confident in your ability to place kids on the depth chart and who should and should not play, who should be fired and who should not
Im extremely confident that playing JJ tomorrow is a huge mistake.
Do you think its better to play him tomorrow or to RS him?

if it helps us win play him.. if we lose then RS him.. but hard to know before it starts. this is far different than playing a kid 1 game in the 2nd half of the season like yrs ago. if he plays today that means he played almost half the season. If he had qualified he would be a SO or RF anyway. if 3 yrs from now we lose because he isnt on the team then we probably have a new coach anyway

I don't think you understand how this works.

A writer for the PS, Nate Mink I think, mentioned in an article a day or two ago that Tommy or Clayton would start at QB. Thought it was interesting he broached the possibility Tommy might not start. He did something similar just before the game McKinley came back.

Something to watch out for tomorrow...

Out of 4 seasons this coaching staff has 2 four win seasons and possibly a 3rd after tomorrow. I’m thinking it’s entirely possible this staff doesn’t always make the best choices. If game management decisions this season isn’t an indication.

Wouldn’t be totally shocked to see Welch start

it’s senior day and his final game. We have nothing truly to play for other than pride. Would actually prefer to see Welch start because it is his senior day
