I think Duke did 7 FF in a row before last year.I was talking about the old guard.

To my eyes to the biggest turnarounds have been some of the following:
1) Team Defense - The poles don’t look lost with the slide packages and when to slide
2) McDermott has steadied
3) Short stick mids picked up their game. Not getting beat as much just running with a guy and staying in front.
4) Fusco and Firman have really stepped up individually (the defense of myles jones was night and day different last week; includes ssdm)
5) Molloy – has steadily improved. One huge difference I see with him – and maybe this is why the defense has gotten their act together. Molloy is very very vocal. He’s constantly directing traffic and talking to the D. And loudly I might add. You can hear him up in the stands.
6) Evans – has cut down on his careless turnovers. He’s become a Jim Boeheim type veteran, he’s been calming on the field and really stepped up in a leadership role, directs traffic, moving well off the ball.
7) Marino has become a bonafide stud. Salcido is not too far behind if at all. These 2 together have put a lot of pressure on the opposing middie defenders. Which in turn frees up other players. These 2 are tied for second on the team with points at 43. But get this, since the Notre Dame blowout. Mariano has 23 points in 6 games and Salcido has 21 (and Salcido had a goose egg in there.) That production (44 points) in 6 games is ridiculous. 26g-18a
8) 2nd line mids have improved. I think McKinney and Gillis have the tools
Not sure it is the same in lacrosse, but I had a college soccer coach tell me the last thing they look at for a goalie is shot stopping (they assume a certain level of competence). What is most important is can you run the defense, can you distribute the ball and retain possession, can the team play the ball back to you to restart the offense, can you use both feet, etc.I'm glad you bring up the vocal point. I think goalie play is a ton about having confidence to direct defense. That's hard to do, if you don't have a certain level of "chutzpah" shall we say. Not sure Warren had that, as he appears to be a quieter type of a kid. Nothing wrong with that, but when things start to break down, as they did, being more vocal definitely helps.
Also agree about Evans. He has played well lately imo. He has definitely cut down on boneheaded plays and actually is the best rider of all our attackmen.
One side note on Molloy; if B'ville's Parker Ferrigan had decided not to transfer to Delaware Molloy would very likely still be on the bench. To my eyes the biggest turnarounds have been some of the following:
